Fabulous boutique filled with hard to find labels next to the farmers row. Their window is fun and a little outrageous. This place was packed on small business Saturday. This store reminded me of a small Anthropologie crossed with a cow girl wear. They carry Paparazzi, Frye, (no longer carry Old Gringo ), Brightly Twisted...interesting jewelry and imported knitwear. I'm not a much of a mall shopper and found this little store occupied my attention for an hour!! It's not easy to find interesting and fun pieces even in much bigger cities. My mom and nieces bought some earrings and I got a fun coat to go with my OGs. They had this year's trendy long fingerless gloves in brightly colored sock knit. I have walked past this store a few times in the couple of years that I have lived in Roanoke. I had always wanted to go in but was afraid that I would be snubed since I am not that great of a dresser. Last Wednesday I decided to give it a try. I was really hoping that someone who worked there could help me pull together a wardrobe. I was prepared to spend quite a bit of money. I wasn't dressed that bad when I went in, nice jeans, clean blouse, and loafers. I was looked at by a couple of people who were working there but no one ever asked me if I needed help. I stayed in the store for 5 or 10 minutes, I looked at everything, even looked twice at the shoes. I was very interested in a pair of Dansko's but still no one would help me. It was like they were looking right through me. I have to say that their windows are wonderful, the outfits are just lovely. But, for someone like myself who is not good at fashion the inside of the store is actually a bit overwhelming. It seems like there is a lot of stuff everywhere. I lived in Southwest VA for several years and went to college in Roanoke. At that time this was my favorite store on the planet. That is no longer the case. The selection has gotten more matronly and even less affordable than before. Even as a starving student, I was OK with dropping $100 or so on a great dress. I also used to love the interesting household items, jackets, and accessories. Now the shop is filled with overpriced jeans, drapey tops, and other odds and ends that are priced like central wardobe pieces but couldn't possibly serve that purpose. One thing I do like about the store is the jewelry selection and the fact that they sometimes sell Desigual pieces imported from Spain. However, I've heard the store has gotten even snootier and I don't buy from places that aren't warm and welcoming. read more

I have been to this store a half a dozen times now (over three years) and it's been a delight each time. The store staff is super sweet, offers real opinions (seriously, appreciated) and the selection is both unique and legit. I can grab some Free People faves or try a new brand I've never heard of. The buyers here clearly are on their A game, I shop a lot, I shop all over the country and each time, I find something adorable here. The prices are pretty in line although you can find some great bargains here, which is always a delight. The store is packed so you have to go through the racks a few times, but it's not that overwhelming packed feeling. They set just the right tone in here. read more

To The Owner of LaDeDa in Downtown Roanoke, VA, Again, I would like to apologize for my wife's action while I was hospitalized. I was at the time of your conversation being kept in isolation due to COVID19. To this fact I am happy to supply documentation. Regardless, I cannot and should not be held accountable for another individuals actions- specifically when I am medically compromised and another person, without my permission impersonates themselves with my identity. however, I find the fact that you relinquished my merchandise which I WAS FAITHFULLY paying on and communication with you openly and honestly distasteful. Prior to the impersonation I gave you NO reason to question neither my honesty nor my character. Further, as soon as able I made apologies for the situation and conveyed my intent to honor my signed contract. Again, though you refused to hold my items knowing my intent, resulting in many of the items I intended to purchase and indeed deeply wanted to become no longer available. I further find it incredibly deciptful both to have you lie to me with regards to items currently available and to be blocked from your website in an attempt to conceal those truths. However, to add insult to injury I sought to review your site this evening in the hopes of finding replacement items I may desire, only yo learn you had blocked me from your website completely. All of this deeply troubles me as numerous times I attempted to both explain and apologize for a situation that was completely out of my control. Further, while I continually attempted to rectify the situation and operate in good faith, even after the situation was explained and apologized for, you refused to do likewise and operate likewise. Due to these events you have lost nothing, however I have lost items I sincerely desired and now find unavailable. Regardless, I would again like to apologize for the situation and request my access be restored. Again, the entire situation was never my intent, done in my absence and something I deeply regret. My favorite shop, hands down. I admit I have only been a devoted customer for about 6 months. That's because I assumed I couldn't afford their gorgeous clothes, Italian leather shoes, funky jewelry, etc. It's true, they do have some more expensive "Statement" pieces, but most of their clothing is reasonably priced. I've purchased lovely pieces from $18 up. They have an excellent layaway plan, and I have never received anything less than wonderful, old fashioned customer service! Even when looking like a fashion-challenged-middle-aged mother of 6, or being a high maintenance P.I.T.A. They have helped me completely update my frumpstyle into something fabulous! read more

Rewrite, since I have had a few good experiences. I found a couple clerks that helped me. They have trendy clothes, diverse sweaters, cool jewelry that seems to have an "Indian flare". Free People, True Grit and Silver Jeans. They have a good supply of cool boots such as Frye and Old Gringo. The store is very pricey, however. I have visited this store a couple times and every time I went in it, I felt like I was being "stared down". You would think that the clerks would try to help customers, but they do not seem helpful. I have always dressed well, so I don't feel like I am below this store. I have always thought they were snobby and this makes me not want to buy from them. read more

Not see what some of these reviews are talking about saying this place is "snooty". The people that work here and the owners are super warm, welcoming, and helpful. I don't live in Roanoke anymore and generally stop in only once or twice a year when I'm visiting for the holidays because I love their mixture of well known brands like free people and arty, unique pieces. They have remembered me every single time I've come in. They always are very helpful in picking out outfits for me if I need help or letting me wander with just a warm smile and assistance when I need it. read more

I went in there on my lunch break and was greeted by a friendly staff member. I started looking around and noticed that none of the clothing was attractive, functional or appealing in any way, for that matter. It was kind of quiet in the store and I overheard what I assume were the owners talking about other customers in a crude and inappropriate manner. I wouldn't dare repeat what they said.
