This was the worst service and food we've had on our vacation in southern France so far. After ordering Fillet de Boeuf, medium, we waited 45 minutes. When asking the waitress if it would be any longer, she said it's "because you ordered well done". We insisted that no, we had ordered medium. Then it took another 15 minutes for the food to arrive. The meat wasn't a filet, it was at most an entrecôte, and it was folded to make it look like a filet. The vegetables were cooked way to long, and the potato looked like it was from last week. Maybe 5 to 10 tables (out of 40 to 50) were in use. Terrible, a waste of money. read more

I had a late night dinner for one last night and I'm glad I went! First be aware Reservations are needed as they were turning people away. I had a a soup, salad and steak frites with a half bottle of wine and it was all delicious! Staff is a little short, but they were honestly busy, but always nice and professional. For me the quality of food and professional staff is most important. Next time I am in Marseille I would not hesitate to eat here, or recommend it to friends. read more

A few of the workers here are ok. They tried!! The old guy who brought out the food was very rude, because we didn't get it straight with whose is whose. Never offered any salt or pepper or checked on the status of our food. We ordered medium well & it came out raw So FYI order well done if you like medium well. I sent it back & it jumped from rare to medium as you can see. They grill the steaks on charcoal here, but evidently they don't know how to gage the fire. The outside tastes bitter and the inside is raw. I will never eat here again. Paris has the best chefs. They always seem concerned about the customer and how the food taste. Some of the ppl here in Marseille are kind of rude and racist only a few are great. Good experience but not my cup of tea. I went there very excited - a steak restaurant. And in France where all the food is so good. This was going to be wonderful. What a disappointment. My daughters shared a chicken. They said it was incredibly bland and gave it a rating of 0. My steak was also really bland and was an ok but not good cut of beef. The sauces were also ok, but not good. So I give it a score of 1. My wife had the crab and said it was so-so, a score of 2. Gigantic wine selection. For beer all they have is Heineken. Service was mediocre. Had to ask 2 times to get my beer and 3 times to get water. read more

Probably the best steak house in Marseille. They really respect the meat, adding no exaggerated spices whatsoever, and if you are really carnivore, feel free to dig into some bone marrow, which they serve just as it's out of the flames. Service was very helpful and caring. They were fast to attend and also interested on our tourism. It was almost full as we got there and the restaurant team was not overwhelmed at all. In the end, they still offered us some digestive liquor as courtesy. I went with my parents and, as we are from a very traditional calf meat region in Brazil, I'm inclined to say our opinion is for the most "old school" meat lovers, not so much as an Outback stuff. read more

Loved eating here. It's in a rather touristy area of Marseille, near the old port, but the food was mostly fantastic. I had the foie gras and beef filet with bone marrow. There was a bit of tendon in my filet though but I didn't complain as I was already full. Just be sure to double check your cut of beef...Great atmosphere for late-night dining. read more

We pointed out and picked the €35 Rib steak dinner. The server than asked us which cut we preferred (German/Irish/French). We picked the latter... and then the bill arrived and it was a €50 meal. She never specified there was a price difference and knew fully well what plate we were ordering. It may have been a miscommunication, but still very shady. Oh... and while the steaks were MASSIVE.. they weren't really that good. All 3 were undercooked (even for medium rare) and not very flavourful. There's better and cheaper places in the area. read more

Reading through some of the reviews after eating their I can see mixed results. I will not go back, nor would I recommend it. My wife had the steak and fries and the steak was half as thin as anything shown in any of the pictures. She asked for medium and got well done. I ordered the homemade hamburger and although I did enjoy it, it was very rare. The couple next to us also ordered the steak and theirs arrived medium and I couldn't help but to notice how much effort it took to cut through that super skinny piece of meat. Who knows, maybe a bad night for steak, but given the options for dining in that area we will not be back. On the positive side, the staff were all very friendly, service was quick, and the black olive tapenade was excellent. read more
