Pizzaman o pizzaman.. I love you too much. Ok honestly, not every pizzaman (it is a franchise) is…read morealike. For example, this location (firenze sud - via rocca tedalda) is really good. They don't burn the pizza and it's not gummy whereas I have had a "nice" gummy burnt pizza at the one in the center.
The first time I saw this restaurant from a 'comfy' seat on bus 14, I saw a painting on one of their windows of flying pizza's coming from a volcano (probably vesuvias since the pizzas are from napoli). We gave it a chance and I loved it, you walk in the door and they offer everyone prosecco and coccoli. great start! The servers are super nice and always remember us, which is something I really appreciate. You sit down and read a colorful laminated menu. There are not so many pizzas to choose from but remember, this is a good thing. A real restaurant should focus on being good at fewer things, not being mediocre and having more to choose from.
Pizzas are very affordable, from 6-8 euros and have the option for 'mozzarella doc' My personal favorites are the traditional & tasty margarita, and the caprese (with fresh mozzarella and fresh cherry tomatoes and basil).
They also have really good antipasti - I would go for the burrata (yummy!). Also you must try a dessert even if pizza filled you up. They are especially good at cheesecake & my favorite "coco & nutella" cake (it's heaven in your mouth, no really).
If it happens to be your birthday, they play an awesome (and slightly scary) birthday song with all of the lights flashing, the first time I saw this display, I knew Pizzaman just felt like coming home. Also because they are generous with the free lemoncello.
