My experience with the LA Conservation Corps has been very disappointing. The level of professionalism, organization, and awareness displayed by some of their workers appears to be far below acceptable standards.
During their operations, I have witnessed streets being closed without proper attention to traffic safety, creating confusion and unnecessary risks for drivers and pedestrians. Workers appeared unprepared and lacked proper coordination. I have also seen materials and debris left behind, creating a mess instead of leaving the area clean and properly maintained.
An organization working in public spaces must have better supervision, stronger safety procedures, and proper employee training. The City of Los Angeles should conduct a thorough review of their operations, including how employees are trained, how traffic control is handled, and how work areas are maintained.
Public safety and professionalism should come first. This organization needs significant improvement in management, accountability, and employee conduct. read more
