I've had all different variations of mole all over Mexico, even within the same towns/cities. This was far from exemplary. The guacamole was also okay, which is pretty hard to mess up. The two friends who joined me were equally unimpressed with their respective choices. I would go back for the views and a light bite, but not a full meal. I told them the place they recommended could not have a better view than the main plaza! I was wrong. The view is incredible. Del Angel Inn is on one side of the cathedral, so you can see it up close, from a different angle. It's a large restaurant with multiple terraces. You get a panoramic view of the city and the mountains. We had a group of 30 people including kids. Everyone enjoyed their food including soup, medallions, pasta, and desserts. They offer a full bar. For a large group, our food was served quickly and almost simultaneously. The prices are very reasonable and the staff super friendly.
