A lovely restaurant with classic Italian ristorante décor, but definitely on the "pricey" side for a pizza night out.
My boyfriend and I normally don't eat out together since he's not a fan of overpriced restaurant food, but this meal was on me since he had a birthday coming up. We made reservations for 9:00pm (good ol' Italian dinner time...) and were able to sit outside.
Our orders were simple: 2 margherita (cheese) pizzas. I asked for onion on mine and of course they charged and extra euro.
I will also "complain" about the fact it took what seemed like 30 minutes for our pizza to be made...how? Pizza from the frozen section at the grocery store takes 7-9 minutes tops, and it tastes a whole lot better...
Before our pizza came out, we were given tiny cups of "crème fraiche" that we both did not eat because it had fish in it. I wondered why the chef would waste his/her time making this and not getting our pizzas out faster LOL.
When out pizza finally came out, it tasted OK. Nothing special. Like I said, I've had store-bought pizza that tastes better and costs less...
The bill ended up being almost 30 euros. Yes, for two pizzas and water. Yikes:
coperto = service fee (3.50 x 2= 7) + two pizzas (8.50 + 9.50) + water (3.50) = 28.50
For a one night out kinda deal, it wasn't too bad. But if you don't mind chilling at home with pizza and pajamas, you can save a lot of money and still enjoy a good meal and good times! read more
