Excellent. Can't wait to attend their services now that they are open. Would like to see the restored chapel.

No words (ironically) can properly describe my incredible experience at the Silent Stay Retreat…read morewith Ruth and Bruce. Both are such LOVELY and easy going people. The grounds, ALL 35 acres, are just breathtaking, the food delicious and the people who: Meet and greet Cook Clean Maintain Inform are accommodating, friendly and helpful. My only suggestion would be to offer a week long retreat- My 4days/3 nights of silence with Ruth and Bruce left me wanting MORE! I look forward to returning- THANK YOU, THANK YOU

I love the layout of this place - small hiking trails running along both sides of the retreat; a Jacuzzi paired with an intricately designed, salt pool for detox or relaxing; a warm and cozy fireplace next to the large and welcoming kitchen; and the front and back yards with adorable critters and plenty of seats to enjoy nature. I enjoyed this scenery and retreat for my extended weekend on Veteran's Day. I hike in silence, prayed in silence, cried in silence, and of course, meditate in silence. It was a thought-provoking task that made me question, whether I could remain silent for three whole days. However, it was easier done than one would think and so serene. The pressure of saying and doing the right thing wasn't there. You are there to be and reflect, which most people don't have the time to do, when they're in their normal habitat. You almost make up excuses for yourself on why you can't take a moment to just relax and do what you want. You keep yourself busy because you feel like you haven't accomplished enough and there are so many more thing to be done. However, here, there's nothing that must be done correctly or even to be done at all. It's amazing. Ruth and Bruce were very kind. However, I didn't connect to them as I wish to, but that's why we go to different retreats to get to know yourself and the ones guiding it. All the funds that you pay for goes to charity, which is amazing of Ruth and Bruce. However, there are many other practices that are completely free and you can decide what you like to donate. Either way, it's an amazing experience. **Sidenote: While this is a silent retreat, depending on who is staying there at the same time, it can get very noisy. Although, I enjoyed seeing the people that attended the retreat with me, I didn't enjoy their constant talking. I feel like it took away from my experience. My peers were very friendly but loud. Lol.

She got me checked in, oriented, and completely settled with such genuine warmth that I felt taken care of before the treatment even began, and that kind of welcome sets the tone for everything that follows. And then Daniel. Literally the best massage I have ever had. He is not just a therapist, he is a guru, working with a level of intuition, wisdom, and energy that goes far beyond technique. He seemed to know exactly what my body needed before I did, and I left feeling restored in a way that was physical and something much deeper at the same time. Truly the best of the best. I am so grateful to this whole team for the care, the presence, and the peace they created. I will absolutely be back, and if you are anywhere near Santa Barbara, do yourself the favor. I'll be back!

I was then told two females were no longer available. I then was told I would get a discount for the inconvenience and when I checked out and $720 later, she receptionist stated I would not get a discount. Pissed I will never come here again and the treatments were definitely not worth $720!!! I asked for more pressure and never got it either. Just a disappointment. I was not happy with the treatment, so don't put words in my mouth that I walked out over the moon. Needless to mention your staff booked us for the scrub treatment together and was clearly in the wrong for not knowing it couldn't be booked together, so I had to pick a treatment that we didn't want just so we can be in the same room together. All of this could have been avoided if your staff knew what they were doing, hence the reason for the terrible tip!

Updating my review... The manager of the spa called me to confirm my follow up appointment. No…read moremention of resolution, even when I prompted her asking if there was anything else she was calling about or if anything had been done regarding my visit. So clearly this was not the coaching experience she claimed it was. Definitely not coming back, I was holding out on the small chance that I would get a call back offering some sort of satisfactory resolution. I would say it's unbelievable, but considering how I was treated... It's not. So disappointing, I really wanted this to be my local spa. The aesthetician was wonderful, my issue was entirely with their front desk staff/management. Unfortunately it looks like I'm going to continue visiting my regular aesthetician in Beverly Hills, it's a really long drive but it looks like it's worth it.

The spa itself is a really nice place. Everything is marble and hard wood, everything around…read morelooks like it's high quality. There is no cheap stuff around this facility. The changing room is very small. The dry sauna and steam rooms are both small, but very good quality. There are not many other amenities to use during your visit to the spa. The waiting area and relaxation rooms are fine, just wish they could do a bit more with the relaxation room, it is next to public areas and corridors, so you can hear a lot of talking unfortunately. The highlight of spa visit was my massage therapist by the name of Mary Jane. I'm really into massages and I am someone who appreciates high quality, attention to detail and artistry. Mary Jane was all of these things. She's really a pleasure to get a massage from. You can tell she enjoys what she does and that she is passionate about what she does. Her attention to detail is impeccable and she's also very smart. Mary Jane is a thorough professional and master of her craft. She's an artist and it's such a delight to be apart of her artistic expression. I came in wanting to relax, destress, and relieve tension, Mary Jane knew exactly what to do and got right to it. Getting to feel her massage me was like watching Thomas Keller cook, or Gustavo Dudamel conduct on orchestra. Its just so natural to them, and they're just so good at it. This spa is pricier than some of the other top spas in the area, yet some of the other top spas offer better amenities, and you can make a day out of your trip to the spa, you can't really do that here. I guess that's the price you pay if you want to hang out at a rosewood. If it weren't for Mary Jane, I may or may not return to this spa. I might rather pay less and go somewhere that has more to offer as a facility. However I really, really want the opportunity to spend more time with Mary Jane. Overall it was a fun day at the spa, I left feeling amazing. That's how one wants to leave a spa after all.

I am here to express my love for Divintree Santa Barbara!…read more I was totally new to yoga (as of January 2020). I signed up at Divintree for two reasons: 1) I had been experiencing low back pain for over six months and a doctor told me, "If I could prescribe yoga, I would." Nothing I was doing was working so I figured, Why not? 2) They were having a weekend of free yoga classes then a reduced rate for unlimited classes membership (they often have promos). If I think back to those very first classes, I remember feeling very unsure of myself, as anyone might when trying something new. I felt awkward and thought maybe yoga wasn't for me. I might have given up if it weren't for the welcoming attitudes and incredibly knowledgable teachers of Divintree. Hilary, Nicole, Natalie, and Sierra are truly gifted. Sierra Noland's classes were especially helpful and motivational for beginners. Her attitude really made me want to stick with my yoga practice. When COVID-19 struck, I was SO GLAD I had Divintree's virtual classes available to me. While at home, I have been able to take live virtual classes on Zoom, OR watch any of the recorded classes later in their library. Life is even BETTER now that we can take outdoor, socially-distanced classes on the beautiful bluffs of Mesa Park, facing the ocean. Their studio (when it is open) is incredible, but I am really happy with the virtual and live-outdoor class options. Gotta take advantage of the fact we can practice outdoors most of the year in Santa Barbara!
