Not to exaggerate but the brewery "Tauss Brau" makes one of the best beers I have tried in Santiago. Tauss Brau is a national, artesanal brewery from Limache, a city right outside of Santiago. Out of the Tauss Brau line, my favorites that is served in Kleine Kneipe is the blonde beer (rubia). If you would like to snack on something they have good sandwiches but it is not something to write home about. Also, many restaurantes are closed in Nuñoa on Sundays so if you are hungry and think you have no where to go, remember that Kleine Kneipe is open until 12am. Tip: They show all of the big football games and if you ask nicely you can get them to put on any game you would like to watch (if they have it obviously). For US sports call ahead to ask.

I did order some fries though, which left much to be desired. The cheese sauce was bland, as was the side of sauce that came with the dish. In addition to there being an overall lack of flavor, the potatoes were cut in very inconsistent sized pieces, some appearing to be almost half a potato. This is problematic because potatoes take time to cook, and when you cook a half a potato along side a small slice, one of them is either going to be burned or way under-cooked. So half the plate was under-cooked potatoes. The food did come out fast though. The other thing that irked me was happy hour goes until 9 PM, which here really means 8:50 PM. I ordered at 8:55, and I had a feeling this was going to be problematic because speed and customer service aren't a common thing in Chile, and I was correct. Not only did the bartender wait 5 minutes to ring up the drink, but the computer system was 5 minutes fast, therefore causing me to miss the happy hour pricing. I didn't bother arguing with her as that doesn't generally get you more than a shrug, so I just paid full price. The combination of the bland and under-cooked food, and the intentional disregard to the end of happy hour makes it a place I don't need to return to. In a city as big as Santiago there's plenty of other places to go. If you're a beer person though, give the beer a try, but skip the food.

He went here many times when he lived in Santiago so we usually stop by while in the city. The other time I went was several years ago when restaurants still allowed smoking, which was not fun for me. But this time around it was cleaner and the beer was great, as usual! We sat in the back area for groups and it was not too busy on a week night. To start, I ordered the cerveza con miel de palma. This was a light beer served with a dark honey in the bottom. Very good if you like sweet flavor in your brew! I then tried a beer with some lime and tequila which was also good. HBH has regular beers but also mixes which are a little more fun with flavors. We ordered a pizza and fries to share as well. The service was fine and more friendly than most places in Santiago. My only complaint is that the toilet did not flush and the hand dryers were not working. Overall, good experience.
