This is the 1st time I've been here. I'll tell you what, I'm a foodie and a picky person. Their food, service, and prices are great. The food is gross and just doesn't have flavor, very white washed "Tex mex" food. The horchata wasn't even good, idk how you can mess that up. The tortillas are the only good thing there. We kept having to get the waitresses attention and all the women working there were just standing by the bar talking. read more

La Cantera is quickly becoming our favorite restaurant! My beautiful wife and I did the drive through again and they did not disappoint. I am getting hooked on the burritos deluxe. They are delicious and I highly recommend giving them a try. Today we were offered a variety of salsas and I swear one of them was Ghost Pepper! Magnificent! If you're into heat give this one a try. One of the better Mexican restaurants in the area plus they have cold beer. We enjoyed dinner there now and then.

Great food. Generous drinks. Great service. The salsa is only slightly spicy, but well flavored, and they'll bring you a variety of hot sauces with your dinner if you want something different. We've had breakfast and lunch here now and have not been disappointed in a single thing. It's a sort of laid back diner dove Mexican style. So there could be country music playing or a live mariachi, it's south Texas, could go either way. We make the drive to Pleasanton just for this place. read more

My wife and I just moved to Texas 3 months ago. We have fallen in love with Mexican Food. We eat it every day. Sometimes twice a day. We were passing through Pleasanton Texas on our way to the coast. The customer service was amazing. The margaritas were amazing. But the enchiladas......omg! Maybe the best we have ever had. I sure hope we can find our way back to this town and this resteraunt. I love the food and margaritas at this resturant!! Delicious! Wait staff are super nice and attentive. Last night we ate dinner there and the power went out. Cards could not be used and I didn't have any cash with me. I asked the waitress if I could get my total and I would come right back with the cash. The owner happened to be standing right there and said we could bring it when it was convenient. I went to get the cash and came right back to pay. He thanked me for doing the right thing and I told him, "Thank you for trusting me to come back and settle my tab." They will have my repeat business and I will continue to tell others to go there for good Mexican food! read more
