The Ormiston Bakery has heaps for under $5 like breads, buns, coffee and even fruit salad. So far, I have not bought anything that hasn't been fresh and tasty. I really like their white bread plus every time I go, they is always a lot of temping looking chocolate slices and baked sweets that try to sway me and usually do if it is in the afternoon.

The pies are really good - especially the steak and tomato, which my firend has regularly when he needs to eat lunch on the run. Best of all for those allergic to bakeries, these dudes make a really goood range of gluten free breads and cakes. They keep some range on the shop floor, or you can order ahead. Don't be swayed by the neon 'Open' sign, it is actually a really decent bakery. The staff are super friendly are always happy to have a chat and the shop is owned and run by locals. Most importantly, the breads and produce is baked daily and always taste really fresh. They have a good range of different breads like sour dough, pastries and cakes although I am yet to try the cakes. Definitely worth trying if you are in the area.

I like to pick up a loaf of bread sometimes on a weekend. It is hard not to be tempted by the other treats lining the glass counter such as pink iced buns, chocolate éclairs and decorated cakes. The staff are friendly and efficient and I am a fan of the bread. It is a bakery after all, enough said.

There are heaps of varieties - you'll know the usual suspects - chunky beef and bacon, pepper, chicken curry, beef and tomato, etc. I knew they tasted great but just discovered yesterday when talking to one of the local business women that they get their meat from the busy butcher a few doors down. We like the meat from this fellow too, so now I feel even better about these pies, knowing they are made from great ingredients.
