English: The food here, in my opinion, is pretty great. For Rimouski, it's hard to get much better. It's definitely on the expensive side, but this is a special outing sort of restaurant. My issue, however, and why I don't give 5 stars, is because the service was pretty slow. It took them a very long time to get to us to take our orders, and after we were done, even longer to pay. I understand that there is a lack of workers, but it was definitely not the greatest service. Additionally, since it is in a hotel, you can literally smell the pool from the restaurant. It's a bit of an odd combination. As for the food, I tried a few things: Paloma Cocktail: 8/10 - Sweet, but not too sweet. Didn't taste too much of tequila but was generous in its portion. Very beautiful. Foie Gras in Tandem: 7.5/10 - This is foie gras done two ways. I prefer pure foie gras cooked on a skillet, however this is the best "manipulated" foie gras I've had. I liked the round circles of foie gras better than the dome of foie gras parfait, simply because it was richer and had a more natural flavor in my opinion. I really loved the presentation of the appetizer, and how the plate came out with many different flavor combination: pickled onions, apple compote, pomegranate seeds, etc. Also, the little brioche toast it came with was absolutely adorable and deliciously decadent. Filet Mignon with Mashed Potatoes: 8/10 - I got it cooked rare, and it was cooked to perfection. It was small, but the right size for a filet mignon in my opinion, and while the poivre sauce it came with was not my favorite I've had, it was still super enjoyable to eat. The mashed potatoes were also super garlicky and buttery, which I adored, and even the wedge salad was tasty. I left satisfied, and overall, happy with the meal. The only note I'll add is that someone at our table got the rack of ribs, and noted that they were incredibly dry. Just something to keep in mind!

I ordered a local beer, Aurore, a raspberry wheat ale from Trois Pistoles. It was delicious. I wanted fish one more time, so opted for the tartare aux deux saumons: two salmon tartare. It was pretty good and the fries and Caesar that came with it were also good. My friend had the vegetarian pizza and liked it. Our only complaint with the restaurant was not about the food: it is that the pop music was so loud, people were shouting at each other at tables to be heard over the din. I feel old complaining about the level of music, but it didn't match the overall restaurant vibe and experience.

You get 2 pounds of these guys with the broth of your choice. After a while the fries become an afterthought but they were very good as well. We ordered the mussels Marinière and Dominus. Delicious. We also ordered the Surprise aux Pommes avec Coulis au Sucre à la crème for dessert aka "it's to die for." We dined outside because the upper deck wasn't yet open but had a nice view of the river from our table. Great service, excellent food and competitive prices. A place we will definitely return to.

Who serves overdone frites with a baked potato? Corn was unexpected, and again, a bit odd. Two steaks of different cuts, both medium? Nope! One was fine in terms of cooking... but who has a NY steak a 1/2 inch thick? The other thickness fine, but still mooing. Some side of gravy was simply GOD AWFUL. Forget the steaks; maybe forget the whole meal. Order a drink or maybe a sandwich at best and head upstairs. Don't waste your time in the Ponderosa of Quebec.

The night started with waiting 35 mins for our server to take our first drink order and we watched that drink sit on the bar for 10 minutes before coming to our table. One would think that the one thing you could expect from a steak house style restaurant is a proper steak. The $98 steak I ordered came to the table beyond raw and was the wrong cut entirely. Their response was to scorch the shit out of my already cut into steak and serve it back to me with a new set of frozen mixed veg that was borderline inedible. The corn quite literally couldn't come off the cob, I watched every persons plate go back with all the vegetables untouched. Even my whiskey came in a wine glass. Whatever goober is running Bootlegger now will be the end of this once great place. Utterly disappointing experience wouldn't recommend to a dog.

I came here during Christmas and just wanted to share a meal with some friends. Here is a list of what happened. We asked for a table and before checking what was available they were trying to deny us service. After convincing them to check what they had available they seated us. My friend wanted to order the steak and the waiter asked "Did you see the price of the steak?" Are you kidding me? My girlfriend has certain dietary restrictions and ask what kind of dressing was on the salad and was told "I don't have time for this" and left Finally we were stared at after we finished the meal and was consistently harassed for a tip. Even though we were just relaxing and trying to finish our bottle of wine. I have never been harassed this much just solely based on my ethnicity until that night. And on top of all of this the "gourmet" food they were serving was not even close to the quality we paid for. I could've made the same quality food in my own kitchen. The medium rare filet mignon I ordered came out tough and more closer to medium well than anything. Don't spend your money here really not worth it.

It was my fault for choosing this restaurant over the McDonald's across the street. For the french speakers: Ce restaurant n'est pas bon
