I purchased a tanning package (unlimited tanning for a month) like I have been for the past 3 yrs from la bella sole right before the COVID shut down. I had called numerous times and left messages as to what was going to happen going forward with my purchase, considering I only went tanning once since buying my package. NO CALL BACK. after 3 months I decided to check google if they had opened their doors again, which they had. I went to the vaughan mills location where I was told all packages resumed once they had reopened and I was left with 2 days of tanning. out of all the high school girls that work there and oh how they love to be on the phone...NO ONE THOUGHT TO CALL THE CLIENT BASE AND INFORM EVERYONE THAT THEY WERE OPEN AGAIN!!! I WAS TOLD LA BELLA SOLE POSTED ON SOCIAL MEDIA BUT YET BOTH HERE ON IG AND FB YOU HAVEN'T POSTED SINCE 2017!! ALL I WANTED WAS WHAT I PAID FOR!!!! Awful customer service and false advertising!!! My Experience: I live in Liberty Village and had previously been going to Luxe tanning salon, until my minutes expired and Bella Sole popped up just down the road from me. They were advertising on the website (and outside of the property) that all new customers receive one free tan. I figured, why not try it out and see what it's like! I went into the salon and was greeted by a not-so-friendly girl at the front desk. I explained that I was a new customer and wanted to claim my free tan. What proceeded was awful customer service and very frustrating for a potential customer. The girl at the front desk explained to me that I had to print out the coupon in order to redeem my free tan (something that was not listed on anywhere on the site - it just said "New customers receive one free tan"). I proceeded to explain to her that I don't even own a printer (not everyone does in this day in age) and that I could easily pull up the website where it outlined the free tan voucher. She was very nasty with me and refused to let me claim the free tan (how difficult must it be to claim something that is clearly advertised on the website?! I couldn't believe it!) When I asked to speak with the manager, he wouldn't even come out of the back room in order to speak to me (wow, some manager that is)!! Anyways, I left feeling frustrated and immediately took my business to Luxe tanning, where they actually appreciate their customers and do a good job at pulling in new ones. I couldn't believe that a ploy to attract new business actually resulted in me vowing to never step foot inside Bella Sole again (yes, their customer service was THAT bad)! BEST EXPERIENCE EVER :) And BEST tan I've ever had in just a single session. The staff was amazing and never had so much help with the equipment low down and all the cool stuff I learned about all kind of products they have. I Got a tour of each bed and run down of the lotions, I actually bought one when I had absolutely no intention of buying one. Just came from this place! Erica the receptionist/customer service agent is really great. She helped me decide what package was the best for my busy schedules and I appreciate that. I was also informed about the perfect bed for me. I chose number 5 and LOVED IT. The bed has open parts (perfect for someone who is claustrophobic), fan adjustor, and volume adjuster if needed. Some people just want to sell and don't care about the customers, but not here. I felt really comfortable tanning here and will be back for more! Thank you :) read more

Currently sitting in the lobby of the worst tanning place I have ever been to. The girl who works here is too busy texting, typing on her personal mac or just being non present. My bed stop halfway through and I don't even think I got the full amount of time. Totally not worth the ridiculous price of 20 dollars for sub par beds. At least they could have thrown in some courteous staff. Even a hello would have been nice. read more

The beds are clean and the doors lock wow such a difference from just across the street. My experience was not good. The lone star rating I gave goes to the bed itself. Booked an appointment, got there(being a newbie) had to fill out the form. Cool, no new news there. Asked about the first time customer deal(free your first time) because I wanted to check it out before committing. Was told that you need to buy a package. Nowhere on the website does it say you have to purchase anything. I was then told bed 3 was ready... No request of eye goggles, lotion or if I had questions about the bed itself. Great. Im sure they let 13 year olds here as she didnt bother looking at my info to see if I burn easily or not. So I go in. Tiny room, big bed, nothing special. It was until after I noticed there was no towel, deodorizer or water spray. Did they even clean the bed? Sh*t, gross. As I leave I startle her because shes focused on the computer screen. "Are there supposed to be towels in the rooms or do you not do that?" Response: "ohh yahh". Will not be going back and I recommend if you do go, make sure they wash the bed in front of you. Very disappointed. I did one of their expensive spray tans and saw nothing. Literally nothing. I'm pale as can be, and I've been pleased with spray tans at other salons, so I feel like it was just a HUGE waste of money. I come to this tanning salon quite often! It is in a perfect location if your in Liberty village, just on the side road so you don't have to worry about crossing with all the traffic on Liberty St. Beds are amazing, and the place is very modern and clean, its small but it doesn't need to be big. Theres not many rooms so I'm sure in the busy season it might be best to make an appointment but I been there about 15times and never made an appointment and only had to wait 5-10min a couple times, all other times they were always ready right away. People mentioned that the staff was not friendly but I do not agree with that at all, the girls are all really friendly and just get your info and let you tan, I don't know what else your looking for at a tanning salon... a conversation is usually what you get at a hair salon. Getting people in and out fast is perfect for a tanning salon that way there is no wait time for beds. ***NOTE They do not provide eyewear, although you can purchase it there or you can purchase the disposable one time use ones. But if you have your own just remember to bring them. read more

Please DO NOT go here unless you are a very experienced and educated tanner because the staff simply does not have the knowledge and/or interest in providing adequate customer care. After walking by this place for months I decided to stop in and inquire about rates. Rates for each of the different types of beds are posted at the front, but having only been to Fabutan (where all the beds are the same) I wasn't sure which bed would be the best fit for me given my goals and skin type. I asked the girl working at the front if she could explain the differences between the beds and recommend one for me, but she said she didn't know because she had never used any of them before (red flag #1). Although my gut told me not to return, I decided that I would print out the coupon from their website for a free tan and return another time in hopes that someone more helpful would be working. I came back the next day with my free coupon and sure enough there was a different girl working. I explained that it was my first time there and I needed help selecting a bed. She asked me to fill in their intake form, which I did. After that I again asked for advice on picking a bed. She explained that the beds are different but all good so I could pick whichever one I wanted. Not once did she ask about my skin type or what I was trying to achieve (red flag #2). Meanwhile, she was answering calls on her personal cell phone and seemed generally annoyed that I was occupying her time. I picked the Open Sun 550 bed and then asked if I could buy sample lotion. There were about 10 types to choose from, none of which I was familiar with. She was a bit more helpful here, pointing out 3 options that are good for people just getting back into tanning. Next she asked me if I thought that 10 minutes would be a good amount of time to go in for. I again explained that I haven't been tanning in a long time and thought that 10 minutes would be too long. She lowered it to 7 minutes and showed me into the room. After explaining how to turn on the bed she left me to it. Although I had a pair in my bag, she never once inquired if I had or needed eye wear (huge red flag #3). I looked at the chart on the bed and noticed that for my skin type the longest I should be going in for on my first tan is 3 minutes, so I ended up getting out of the bed early to make sure I didn't burn. The general impression I got from this place is that they have no interest in helping customers tan safely. I'm just thankful I know enough about tanning to recognize how bad the staff here are. After leaving I walked straight to Luxe Tanning 2 minutes down the street to find out how they compare. I explained to the girl at the front desk that I was just getting back into tanning and would need help picking a bed. She launched into a full description of each bed they offer (a similar selection to La Bella Sole), asked a few questions about my skin and how quickly I want to tan, and then made a recommendation of which one would be right for me. The rates at Luxe are cheaper, the facility looks nicer, and the staff are infinitely more helpful and friendly; I bet you can guess where I will be taking my business. If you're looking for somewhere to tan in Liberty Village, save yourself the hassle and go straight to Luxe. read more

This was my first time to La Bella Sole. The staff is really nice and the facility are very clean. However, the rating wasn't higher because I wanted a lotion with an SPF in it. I asked for 30 SPF and they only had a stick for tattoos with 50 SPF. Tanning isn't the best thing to do for your skin so they should allow for some safe skin protection, but all in all I got my tan read more

If I could give this a zero, I would. Anthony, the owner, provided me with the worst customer experience I have ever had. With competition right across the street, you would think customers would be valued and treated with more respect. I had an issue initially as their debit machine was not working when I was trying to buy a lotion. The receptionist suggested we put it on my file so that I could pay for it the next time I came in, however Anthony clearly didn't trust me as a valued client and said there was absolutely no way of this happening. When I asked to speak with him, he said no & said he'd call me back. It took 1.5 weeks for this returned call to take place. Fast forward 2 weeks later, I called to make an appointment, to which the girl said "don't worry, just come in, you'll be fine!" When i showed up the bed was in use and I asked if I could go into another bed. She said it was against protocol. I asked her to call Anthony and he said that there was absolutely no way as I had not paid for these other beds. Quite frankly, neither of these instances were a fault of my own and nonetheless he was absolutely not willing to accommodate me to make me happy. There is absolutely NO way I will be returning here. For a service as generic as tanning, this place still somehow manages to make it a horrible experience. read more
