So right now I'm just going through yelpers pages to see whats good. For some reason I clicked on mass media and wa la this popped up and nobody had reviewed the magazine. I didn't know they were based out of West Covina totally mind blowing actually because I lived in Azusa since I was born and grew up on this magazine when I was teenager. La Banda Elastica is pretty much a music magazine for Spanish rock to put it simply. I worked in the music biz prior to my twentys and this magazine was a staple along with Al Borde and the cool t.v station I used to work for. It held shows at various venues across Los Angeles and it was an exciting time in the L.A Spanish rock scene that is now dead or almost non existent sadly. I went to a Pastilla show a month ago and the venue was awful! I remember the days of the knitting factory!!!!! Anyway I didn't know it was still around. If it is give me a holler yelpers since I hardly spend anytime in LA anymore. read more

I asked to have another sandwich made with hot French fries, and the second sandwich came back the same exact way as the first. And cold French fries again! This last time I went to the movies. They couldn't find my account where I've been collecting points for several years. Something happened between June 2 when I went to the movies and they found my account with my phone number. Come June 9th, just a week later, my phone number doesn't bring up my account. My email doesn't either. Completely gone. When I got home from the movies I sent an email, asking what happened. They said they can't see anything. I ended up creating a new account. But I lost all my reward points. Now I'm starting from scratch. I did send another email asking if they can search for my original account, or what happened with the points I accumulated over 4 years. Got nothing back and now it's the weekend, so maybe I'll hear back this next week. Who knows. Maybe we are seeing a fall in movie theaters. I have now started ordering at the bar because the food has been incorrect. At least I can talk and explain the food to someone without whispering in the theater, and disturbing others watching the previews or the movie. I ordered The lemon pepper wings with chips and salsa. The chips were stale. Which whatever. I really just wanted the wings, which were great. Nice strong lemon flavor, and the pepper was perfect. Wings are good. French fries are cold, and chips are stale. Mojito was great. My experience just gets worse. There is another movie theater near where I work. So maybe I'll just switch theaters.

It's nice to venture out of the city now and again. I really liked this theatre a lot. It's clean and spacious. They have a nice lobby and bar/cafe' area. When you walk in it feels like you're walking into a hotel lobby rather than a movie theatre. That's ok in my book. The restaurant area has great food and drink offerings. So many drinks-beer, cocktails, shakes, teas, sodas... Once in the theatre, seat service if available for everything on the menu (same as cafe). Service was really good. Picture and sound quality-spectacular. I'd give it five stars but can't because of the seating. Though it's super comfy and luxury, a lot of the reclining chairs had wear and tear. Pretty bad actually. Other than that, it was still a fun night at the movies!

I explained the issue, but no one followed up. After waiting 35-40 minutes, I had to leave my seat, track someone down, and get my own popcorn. No apology, no accountability. To make matters worse, the restrooms were completely out of soap, toilet paper, and paper towels. Overall, this felt disorganized and poorly managed. I won't return. Experiences like this make me appreciate Alamo Drafthouse a lot more.

It makes no sense to tell your customers to use their phones to order and then switch to using pencil and paper once the movie starts. Now I'm sitting there, trying to help my 74-year old mom figure out how to use her phone. I wish this company would just shell out the money to pay for more waiters. I hate people having a reason to get out their phones during movies. That was part of the joy of Alamo Drafthouse.
