A great experience. I knew it would be good, but it was even better than expected. The service…read morewas prompt and professional. We were a large group of 6, and the server helped us with the menu, provided recommendation, and ensured that we did not over order. I am new to these flavors and cuisine. Can;t really rate it objectively, but I am certain that it is delicious. We were tired of tapas, and this was perfect to rejuvenate our taste buds.

Upon arrival we were welcomed by the friendly host and seated right away. The tables are these cute booth style seating. While very cute, they're also very tight - really designed for two people. I sat next to my young kiddo and we both found it somewhat uncomfortable. The seats are also quite shallow which made me feel like I was sitting at the end of my seat (I'm an average height guy ~6 ft). The restaurant was beautiful and felt like you had stepped into an old Moroccan bazaar. Really great balance of tradition and culture without being too tacky. After asking a few questions about the menu to manage dietary restrictions, we landed on the humus, babaganoush, chicken tagine and chicken couscous. Both the hummus and babaganoush were served with a pita bread. They were both solid. Flavors were on point. My one observation, and this could be due to Moroccan preparation, was the hummus was a bit thinner than most hummus. So while flavor was great consistency was a bit off to me. The main dishes were both wonderful. The chicken tagine was a generous portion, great for sharing. Two chicken drumsticks with a ton of veggies and fruits cooked to perfection that the meat fell off the bones. The sauce was tasty and well spiced. The couscous was similarly generous two drum sticks buried under a mountain of couscous and topped with a selection of root veggies and accompanied by a side of "salsa" aka chicken broth.

After having read some reviews, I made reservations for a special dinner here with friends. We came…read morewhen they opened at 8 PM, and since that doesn't align with the typical Spanish dinner schedule, we had the place all to ourselves. First of all, the views. While it is a bit of a drive and it feels like you're going up into the mountains to get here, it is well worth it. The hotel did a great job of laying out the restaurant so that the views are unforgettable. Our funny and friendly server offered recommendations and kept us smiling throughout the evening. Throughout the evening, it felt like she was an old friend we had know. For years. Menus were available in Spanish and English. Other servers would also appear to sweep away finished plates. I ordered the lamb shoulder (#weakness for lamb) and it was delicious, tender, and was the first dish on this particular trip that made me do my happy food dance. Yes, I have a dance, or more like a happy food shimmy. I tried a bit of my friend's duck, which was also lovely, especially the sauce. We shared the pineapple dessert, which was an atypical preparation that I really enjoyed. The sauce was a nice touch. I would totally go back to Amador again!

The brother of the owner is the chef here and serves Spanish cuisine and also modern European food. The menu has plenty of choice and upon request something vegetarian can also be organized. They were quite flexible and more than happy to accommodate requests. I had the classic sardines on toast, a typical Andalucían dish and it was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth and the black paella with prawn and squid was also fabulous. We had finger food lunch twice and it was also very good. Lots of gazpachos, hot soups, tapas and mini burgers. Dessert was nice and the wine list small but excellent and very well priced. Good service, English speaking staff and nice means made for a very pleasant experience and I really enjoyed it. Happily come here for a meal anytime.
