The Bad: Even by Waterloo standards (a town of spoilt rich kids), this place is really overly pretentious, with snobby spoilt brats in polos with turned-up collars getting drunk, while their fake-tan, surgically-enhanced mothers and their sugar daddies eat in the restaurant next door. I had a chivas on the top, my favorite (8 euro, other whiskeys like jack go cheaper). The night was still young and the view was great. For everyone visiting Hasselt this is a must.. If you're up for something fun and strange -- they have a fantastic drink made from asparagus juice and horseradish. He didn't have any in the menu, but suggested his take on a classic: a smoked pumpkin old fashioned. I thought that the smoke was just shenanigans, but in this case it added some peat to the cocktail. I loved it. It was nice to relax a bit with a nice view and a great cocktail in hand. In addition they were served on a piece of wood that had been chemically treated (toxic!!). I would say - come here if you want coctails and a view - for that it's great!

You may end up holding your big purse as opposed to setting it on the seat next to you. The only downside was when we went to pay to was cash only. We do not know that prior to arrival. Not only did I eat but drank and had hookahs. The amount if cash I had on me was not about. I had to leave something of value to walk to the nearest ATM to retrieve cash. Other than that great spot, great management, great customer service. Best hookah spot I attended on my European tour. Looking forward to returning in 2020.

It it reasonably priced with a very friendly staff. When you enter this hotel it feels like you are entering a high end club lounge (club music is always playing). It has a very laid back cool young energy vibe......although during the week they are bus loads of retirees visiting for a couple days. Their food is just as good as going to a restaurant downtown (well actually the steak and breakfast buffet was). It is a hip downtown spot so you will see people enjoying the lounge atmosphere but are probably not staying at the hotel. It sort of reminds me of a more reasonable version of the W. I had a great time there.
