You dont call this the best gym as if you can get elevated to super elite class by so-doing. There is a better one in the 16th. This gym: Bad positioning (close to terrorist area, 7 min walk from metro (often in rain), crowded as all other gyms, small, limited equipment. I met a few things and called a lot of times but no one is there to reply me. The average reply rate of my email is 10%. What the heck? The thing that disappoints me the most is that they keeps charging me. I am leaving on July, so I write an email saying how can I quit, the manager, called Colin, he replied that I have till end of August my contract to fill. I replied I am leaving in 2 weeks and I may write back if needed. But he did not reply. So I forget thisl. In October I realized they are still charging me, so I write an email : why? After 5 emails they told me I did not give them the email (which they did not ask for) while charged me for fees of October during writing me the emails. Went here with a friend to check it out before deciding to join. They were great, sign up to get a day pass was simple, the facilities and service top notch, class was great with a good instructor, sound, and music, and the machines were plentiful even though the place was lively and had a bunch of people. Both locations are not that convenient for me at either home or work but thinking of joining anyhow as the rapport qualite/prix cannot be beat in Paris. read more

It took awhile for me to review but there are MANY problems with this gym and I went only a few times (after paying for a year subscription): I had a serious allergy after using the towels here and when I explained to the manager, "Manu", he would never call me. If you called the gym he was never in, no matter what day of the week nor the time, even when it wasn't me who was calling about this issue. We called and left messages countless times, it was unbelievable. He also said that it was not possible to be allergic because it never happened before. I'm sorry but I only used their towels one time and immediately had a skin allergy all over my entire body and had to go to the emergency room. I never went back. The showers are not clean with a bad smell (also from the drinking fountain), and industrial soap attached to the wall outside the showers for everyone to share so you have run naked to use it? But for me it's just scary the corners of the showers. If you aren't sure how to use the weight machines, don't worry, there will be absolutely no one who will answer your questions! If you try to make eye contact with the coaches, they suddenly scatter and disappear. The best gym, my favorite gym! Lots of equipments, professional trainers, very modern, cool interior design! Love the huge space and it is the place where you can totally forget about anything else, stressless, and ENJOY workout. There is AC, so you don't have to be struggled by the hot weather. The window view is nice, and you see many pretty people working out there with you is A+++. Love the steam room, sauna, lockers, group lessons, energy bar, and especially the spin class (with steam if you want more challenging to your exercise). They gave you two towels. I think this chain store is sponsored by Armani. You only see Armani advertising in the entire area which is fine with me. Feel even more high-end. :)) The cost is a bit pricy. One day pass is $50, but people, it gives you AC if you know what I mean. I was at CMG, I paid $35. If you get out of the gym, cannot come back anymore unless you pay another $35. It was a small place filled with lots of people. Not enough equipments, less selective of facilities. No AC, no view. I thought I was like a blue shrimp swimming in a hot pot getting cooked. There is a gym at Latin quarter where asks for a same amount of fee, much older than CMG, same quality, but it has a big swimming pool on the 2nd floor. I was at a health club yesterday on Champs Elysees near Marriott hotel and it at the same building where Starbucks is located. It is at the basement, asking for $40/day. Big place, so so equipments, no street view, I felt kind of gloomy and suffocated already and I haven't even started working out. So if you really want your workout in Paris feels like a treat, come to L'usine!!! read more
