While on vacation in Québec City, we took a day to drive around I'lle d'Orleans. Before heading back over the bridge, we decided to stop here for lunch. We were pleasantly greeted and seated right away. A server came over, and I asked if she spoke English (We speak very little French. ) She agreed, and I could tell she was having a difficult time with English, but it was better than our French! She was extremely pleasant. She helped me order my meal, as I wasn't sure exactly what it was. I knew it was a salad, but 1 word I didn't know. She explained it was a local cheese, similar to a brie. I ordered that, and I was not disappointed!! Salad with balsamic dressing, crustini, and toasted cheese with cooked apples on top. Wow! This was absolutely delicious! I was the best cheese I've ever eaten. My husband kept telling me to go get some at the formagerie. If I remembered what it was called, I might have! It was filling enough for lunch. My husband got a sandwich on focaccia bread. It had prosciutto, barrata, and tomato. It came with a side of crispy fries. He ate every bit of it. He kept saying how good it was. This was a pleasant lunch stop! From the very kind, friendly server to the delicious food! Drive over the bridge and have a good meal! read more
