Basically it is a bar, so no food here, but a decent selection of beers on tap, including some Belgium beers (but since Lille is just over the border I'm not surprised that there are Belgium beers here). Oh, and the bartender was pretty awesome as well, and she even remembered my order when I returned a little later. While a lot of folks visiting Bruges stop off at 't Brugs Beertje (as you should), my favorite hole in the wall bar (LITERALLY! a hole in the wall) is this place. Since the door isn't at eye level, it's easy to miss. It's an underground bar that is a little dark, a little dank but all sorts of good. The beer selection is awesome (some really select beers you can't find in the States) and the bartenders are fabulous. The beers here tend to be 10-20% cheaper than 't Brugs Beertje. Grab a seat, order a fantastic Belgian beer and relish in the fact that you're hanging out in one of the coolest bar and city in Belgium.

Well actually its a sports bar now that they have a bunch of television screens up all over the place to watch many different games. I hadn't seen any games there yet but will be hanging out here a lot for the World Cup. The B3 takes up two large rooms. One has the bar with the televisions and some tables and booths to sit back, kick back and enjoy a beer or three. They also serve some spirits too, so you can avoid beer if you want to. This is also the room where they have the occasional karaoke night, which is often fun and the place gets very crowded. The next room is just as big but has a couple of pool tables, a couple dart boards and also some places to sit and drink. This is a really nice place to hang out and meet up with friends and those that you don't get to see too much in your every day life.

So, as it turns out, we ate at a restaurant that is appears to be in the direct center of the entire city. But you know what? It was good, really good. The steak au poivre was cooked perfectly rare, the cheesy omelet bomb my buddy got totally kicked his ass. The frites were as good as any I've had. It also boasted some of the better beers around and from what I can remember, it all cost a reasonable amount. It was exactly what we were looking for in France.
