I came here for dinner and ordered my usual submarine. This time, I immediately noticed that the portion of meat and vegetables was much smaller than what I normally receive. Even the cashier agreed that it looked like less than usual.
After sitting down, I looked at it again and felt that the amount of meat was really too little considering the price I paid. I brought it back and explained my concern to the kitchen staff. They told me the portion was 170 g, but visually it still seemed considerably smaller than what I had received on previous visits.
I then asked to speak with a supervisor or manager. The gentleman who came over was very polite, professional and handled the situation very well. He listened to my concern and asked the chef to remake my submarine with an appropriate portion. He even offered me a dessert as a courtesy, which I appreciated but politely declined.
Problems can happen in any restaurant. What matters to me is how management responds when a customer raises a reasonable concern. In this case, the manager handled it professionally and respectfully, and I appreciated the way he resolved the situation. read more
