Apparently this restaurant once featured a Michelin star we we're told, but those days (Sept 2018) have been long gone. Unfortunately the menu prices did not get that message (still very high) nor does the food or service level share any resemblance with what one may expect from such an establishment.
The couscous of cauliflower was a tasteless lukewarm drab. The beetroot combination with steak tartare a failure. The main course fish a sham and the risotto had turned in a rice soup. I could go on. The current chef is in over his head and needs to learn walking before even thinking about running.
I have never thought of myself writing a 1-star review but the quality we received calls for a warning to future guests. We hope the Escargot team is able to turn things around, stay closer to what they actually can do and adjust its pricelevel accordingly. We wish them good luck. read more
