They specialize in traditional Perigord cuisine and our greatest difficulty was choosing what to eat. Between us we had a Walnut salad with mustard dressing and a fabulous Foie Gras Terrine for entrees. For our main course we had Coq au Vin and Confit du Canard, both of which were wonderful! A simple dessert of fresh Strawberries and cream shared between the two of us was all we needed to finish a great meal. I had an apperatif of walnut wine and we shared a couple of pitchers of easy drinking rose housewine. The cost of the meal for two was just over 60 euros which we thought was very reasonable.

There is a pop up toaster in reach of every table so that one can toast the bread as one needs it. The bread is cut just the correct size for the little toasts. The menu is wonderful ... I approached La Petite Borie because it was within steps of my Apartment and decided to pop in for lunch. It was about 1:40 pm (a bit late!!!), but the owner/manager greeted with a smile, reminded me that they will close shortly and suggested a great duck dish for me to enjoy! My waitress was super sweet, quick to bring bread and water! I also ordered a salad which was a meal in itself, but it had been a few years since I visited France so I had forgotten that they usually serve some greens with the meals.
