The weather was nice, so I sat outside on their large veranda. My homemade tortellini/ravioli was stuffed with a creamy parmesan, porcini mushroom mixture that was so delicious, I ordered it again the next night! The other diners were very friendly and we had some nice conversations. It is sometimes awkward dining alone and I really appreciated the effort that Andrea and Vittorio went to to make sure I was comfortable and having a nice time. They even introduced me to the diners at the next table who are regular customers. Dessert was an amazing tiramisu that I still think about. I hope to get back to Canyamel in the not so distance future and will be dining here for dinner many times again. Thank you for a memorable time!

So much for made from scratch. The meat in my spaghetti Bolognese looked and tasted a bit suspect. The house wine was somewhat bland for a cab. Our waiter seemed nice but no credit on the bill for having to order something we didn't want. 3 stars feels generous.
