Excellent restaurant, j'y mange depuis des années habitant a côté et c'est vraiment bon en plus d'être abordable.

And when you return after over 2 decades you wonder if the food will still be as good as you remember it. It exceeded every expectation! Seksu Homme Bleu - couscous with merguez sausage, lamb chops and meatball kebabs. The 'gravy for the couscous comes in a separate container, with the couscous sitting on top in its own container with strainer type holes in it. Seksu n'inebgi - couscous with lamb in sauce and merguez sausages. Akanaf s'iberdien n'izimer - grilled lamb chops with vegetables and 2 merguez sausage. The lamb chops are tender and juicy and perfectly seasoned. The merguez tends to be drier and a bit tougher. It's just that type of sausage - you either love it or you don't. Tajine s'uxarfi - lamb with mixed vegetables, pickled lemons and olives. Brine-y and more savory...the pickled lemons were absolutely delicious and were a great contrast to the brine-y olive flavors. Tajine Iham lahlou - lamb with almonds, pears, onions, prunes, orange blossom and cinnamon. This is the more traditional Arab/Berber flavor and even though it's more 'sweet' it's still savory and oh my heaven it's delicious. The flavors, the texture of the lamb with the texture of couscous work in harmony to create a gastronomic masterpiece. The spicy harrisa paste that they bring is a great complement to add a little heat to your dish. Notice the pattern -- lamb- lamb - lamb. No matter how full you think you are - get the sweet mint tea at the end - it's a great digestive aid; mint forward with just the right amount of sugar. Note: you have to get as many main courses as the number of people in your party. So, if you go with 5 people then you have to get 5 dishes. These can be shared family style, but even if you think it's too much food- this is necessary. You can mix and match from the menu. Entrées (appetizers) do not count. We were 5 people. We ordered 2 couscous (came in one container), 2 tajine (came separately) and 1 grilled plate. When we do this again, we would do 2 tajine, 2 grilled plates and 1 couscous. My palate, my soul and my heart are satisfied. A bientôt L'Homme Bleu. Je reviendrai.

The guy then told us that we had to order in 5 minutes or the kitchen would be closed (this was at 8pm). I called our hotel (who had recommended the place) and had them speak to the owner. We left as quickly as we could. Never going back here. Paris has many incredible restaurants. Don't waste your time and money on this one. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

The decor in here is quite stunning. You really feel like you're in Morocco with the decorations. And it's also not even that loud, which is perfect for a nice intimate dinner. Had the Kefta with Moroccan Salad and Royal Pigeon Pastilla as starters, Lamb Tagine with Seasonal Fruits and Kefta Meatball Couscous for entrées, and the Selection of Moroccan Pastries as dessert. Portions were really good and everything was super tasty. Not the absolute best food I've ever had, but I was not disappointed. Staff here are quite friendly. Even though they don't all speak English, they are very nice and helpful. And yes, they do have English menus at least. Really enjoyed Essaouira, glad I made the trip here.

The bread is fluffy and delicious, rolled with pistachio, and drizzled with a bit of honey, served with labneh (SO GOOD), anchovies, za'atar, olives, and some peppers. I've not had a dish like this elsewhere and I've been craving it ever since! We also ordered the octopus skewer over greens - this was also very good though the octopus could have been a BIT less chewy and seasoned/marinated a BIT more. The greens were SO good though! Finally, we had the kibbeh nayyeh which is essentially lamb tartare. I've had this dish many times in different restaurants but this one is my absolute favorite. It's topped with some crunchy goodness that I can't explain as well as an egg yolk. The only thing you should be aware of is that if you want to have an appetizer first, THEN your entrees, make sure to be clear about it. We ordered everything together and it came all at once. English-speaking? Kind of. The server knew some English and had to check with the bartender on a few things. Either way, he spoke more English than I speak French so kudos to him! He was also very sweet.

Once you placed your order, they serve you traditional Moroccan Maghrebi mint tea. I liked how they put on a lil show when pouring tea, and it was delicious and warm on a cold winter day! We opted for Plat du jour (the plate of the day) & msamen nature to share, I enjoyed the couscous which was not soggy but nutty and full of flavor. It paired perfectly with the stew. Would recommend order their msamen nature, the texture was really good. The only con would be the meats, maybe we didn't order the right kind, they were a lil dry and tough.
