A new restaurant for the 2015/2016 ski season, we stopped in here looking for a table for Friday…read morenight. Thankfully they were able to accommodate us, as their large table was just finishing up their meal, 15 minutes and it was ours.
The menu was interesting, lots of wonderful words - lamb shank, steak tartare, fondue with cepes...
Our drinking to start later, we chose only main courses, a fondue to share, a couple of steaks, a duck breast, a beef tartare and the lamb shank. And they were beautiful. Our fondue was immense, more than enough for 3-4 people, a heady mixture of cheese, alcohol and roasted mushrooms. The accompanying bread was just right for the cheese and reminded me why I love the dish so much.
The other dishes went down very well and all was devoured (except for some of the fondue, we just couldn't deal with that much cheese).
Some desserts were ordered (try the Genepi ice cream!) and an hour or so later we were heading off into the night.
A great meal had by all, and definitely at a good price! The staff took care of us and service was with a smile. Such a pity we only found it on our last night...
