Christian came to get us, was able to get us safely moved off the highway, then gave our whole family (all 5 of us!) a ride in his extended cab truck to a hotel, lowered the vehicle again for us to get our belongings, and then continued on to take the vehicle to the shop, with a promise to get us picked up in the morning! Breaking down so far from home was trying to say the least, but Christian did everything within his power, going above and beyond to help.

My daughter and I had a tire blowout near Eddyville, Kentucky. A kind man from Paducah saw it…read morehappen, drove past us and then came back and knocked on our car window. He put the spare on, but it was flat so he called his son to bring a compressor, blew up the spare and followed us with his hazard lights on all the way to the last exit to Paducah. Meanwhile we were headed to Metropolis to Harrah's so I called their security and got three names of companies that could help with tire replacement. The first was in Paducah, the second didn't answer as it was about 5:30, but then we were very fortunate to call C & W and although they close at 5 Curtis answered and said he would check to see if he had a used tire that would get us home, and he would order four new tires that we could get one or more of the next morning about noon. The next day he called my daughter at 10 a.m. and said that he had the tires. We went to the shop, had help unloading a very full car, the damage to the tire was shown to us along with the cracks, were told the age of the tires and then asked what we wanted to do. We bought four new tires as ours were six years old. Service was prompt and very friendly as we waited inside with Curtis's wife who works there. When we left Curtis said to be sure to text him when we got home safely. We had another problem later in the day so we were late getting home. As we walked in the door at my condo Curtis was already texting to check on us. We couldn't have asked for better service. We thank God for Curtis and his way of doing business. We highly recommend C & W service in Metropolis, Illinois! Thank you Curtis for everything! *****

One of the technicians when getting in my car, decided it would be in his best interest for whatever reason to deliberately change the angle of both of my dashcams away from the cabin of the car, so all 3 angles were now facing directly forwards instead of actually inside the vehicle, you know, where most people's valuables are kept and this is not exceptional whatsoever. When we called on Monday morning they said they would after we told them what it was doing. Received a call telling us that they found nothing wrong with it - all our invoice says is they did a diagnostic test. We asked them to drive it for awhile. Upon picking it up on our way back through - they said again they could find nothing wrong with it and it was fine to get it checked out when we got home. Needless to say it started overheating 20 minutes down the highway and we had to stop all the way home to let it cool down - 97 away from home it completely died and we had to have it towed. Without that, I wasn't able to use the pump initially since I don't have a Sam's Club membership. But the nice attendant was able to help, bypassing the membership check and I was able to fill up. It was missing it's center seat, and when cleaning it, the guy said his people accidentally cut the carpet in the trunk area. But her felt that for the price they were asking should cover those issues. They did have a report that the van had been in a minor accident but it looked like things a had been fixed nicely. So we purchased the van. We've had nothing but problems since. Half of the lights in the van don't work, half of the vents only blow out cold air when you put the heat on. The part of the car that was "fixed" after the accident has been rusting off. The carpet that was cut in the back has continuously spued out stuffing. And I found out today that we were never given a spare tire. This auto place is shady and don't throughly check their cars or are honest with their patrons. I have no doubt the seller knew all of these problems and just didn't want to put money into fixing a car to sell it again, cause definitely would have lost money. Never ever will I buy from here and I will never again buy from a place that is not a dealership.
