The heat and AC from the mini split unit is her sole source of heating and cooling. In June, the unit went down and we used Martel to evaluate the issue. They determined the thermal seal somehow broke, which stopped the unit. They suggested reaching out to Eli to see if he could help us navigate the warrantied part with Samsung. He was unresponsive, then had his office manager send me a dismissive email saying there was nothing they could do. My contractor then contacted him and Eli stated he did not want to help us. We understood we would have to pay for the repair labor but just needed a hand to get the warrantied part. It's disappointing that he doesn't stand behind and support the product he sells. He lost a customer in us and a contractor that will no longer do business with him.

The outdoor unit ended up having a manufacturer issue. MRCOOL sent a replacement condenser, and Downeast came back out to install the new unit and make sure everything was working correctly. They took the time to troubleshoot the problem and handled the replacement without any hassle. The guys who came out were great and the work was done professionally.
