I can't express enough the positive experiences I've had with this company. They're highly responsive, communication is crystal clear, time fame is always accurate. They've been such a blessing for me and my project. I highly recommend this business! If you're looking for a civil engineer, especially for Santa Cruz County- these are the guys to do it. They went as far as scheduling a zoom meeting with the county to get my plans exactly right for approval to be sure there weren't any bounce backs. Please feel free to reach out and message me privately if you have any questions about my experience. Thanks Jamie and Dave for getting the job done :)

The process of working with the civil engineering team at C2G was average. They were competent to get the work done, but had a very poor attention to detail (had numerous back and forth with the town due to missing little simple issues) and extremely slow response times. We would have weeks go by without any work done until I would call them to remind them the whole project was waiting on them. Now we were ready for them to come out and set the stakes so we could begin construction. This is where the service went from average to completely unacceptable. I reached out twice (email + phone), no response. My contractor reached out twice (email + phone), no response. Finally after calling them again, I was able to get a hold of someone. They said I needed to get in touch with the surveyor, who I had been emailing all along. Long story short, I never even got the quote from them for the work to do the survey work. I'm sure it would have summed up to at least another $10k in business. I wrote a scathing email to the owner (Todd) and the surveyor (Jean-Paul) about 2 months ago. Never even heard back. Absolutely unacceptable and I will be reporting to the BBB.

Having recently moved to the house I felt it prudent to treat the top coat as a preventative measure rather than surprising myself with some really ugly bills down the road (pun intended). Our neighbor looked like they had recently top coated their drive so I asked for a recommendation. The next day they sent a note to their contractor who pinged H&W. The same day Larry the owner rang me not once but twice and left a voicemail. We spoke and within 48hrs he was at our property measuring up and taking through the various options. This was just last week and after delivering a competitive bid, we decided based on our neighbors satisfaction to give them a whirl. Monday they cleaned the drive and, Wednesday was the 1st coat and Thursday the 2nd. Larry was present on both application days, he called last night to explain his guys would pop up this morning and ensure the driveway was usable and to remove the cones and subsequently called and gave a thumbs up to the job. As any FYI we lived on a private mountain road and had the onus of road maintenance for the last 22yr and so I'm very happy to say that the finish and attention to detail from H&W is second to none and highly recommend them

Larry did manage to come out and give me a quote back in Aug., but since then we've had very little contact. I call his cell (the voicemail is always full), I text (he's replied exactly three times to a total of 12 texts I've sent him since Aug. 2019, and one of those was right now after I told him I'd be giving him/his company a bad review). Even in this latest text he says he's 3 - 4 weeks out. This is a second home for us and we live out of state. Working out the logistics (time off work, pet boarding, airline tix...) means we need some notice of when the work might start. For all these reasons, I would never recommend this business to anyone!
