Now, I had had a different drywall contractor come by and do some work for me before and he did an awful job (no names, sorry), so naturally I was a bit nervous about this situation. Especially considering that King's Peak had quoted me a much better price than the other guys. Obviously, I didn't need to worry at all. They did an amazing job on my walls, and they even took the extra time to smooth out some other spots nearby that needed some work. And they even took the time to fix the horrible job the last contractor did, at no extra charge at all! I would highly recommend King's Peak to anyone needing pro sheetrock or drywall work in the valley.

I called Collin based on his positive Yelp reviews, and he not only found the source of the problem pretty quickly -- we had a rotted doorsill next to our deck -- but devised an effective solution. The first thing that impressed me about Collin was his willingness to come to our house and spend an hour without charging getting the lay of the land and forming a hypothesis for what the problem might be. Once he diagnosed it, he had the skills and tools to address it. We have not had another drop of water in that area since, and it rained twice after he made the repair. While at our place, Collin also fixed a patio gate that was sticking and a garage door that seemed to have developed a mind of its own, closing only when it felt like it. It was a great relief to get that taken care of. Collin charges $65 an hour, which is not cheap but is probably about the going rate in San Francisco. He's pretty busy and might not get back to you right away. That was the case with us, but I'm glad I had the patience to wait until he was available, because he did a fantastic job for us. Afa updated the entire ceiling with a modern texture (old texture contained sand) and it looks like it was freshly installed. He framed a tray ceiling to conceal the pipes that looks like a million bucks! He skim-coated some paneling in a spot that was too tight for drywall and no one could ever spot the difference.
