I went in there once to enquire about two things. First, my mother pawned my 20 gauge that was left…read moreto me by my grandfather in his will without my knowledge so I could try to get it back and to look into purchasing a Sig Saur side arm that was similar to the one I carried in the Marine Corp. The two guys that were there wouldn't even get off there posteriors to try to look up the 20 gauge in their database of items and they were very rude and arrogant. Needless to say, I was never able to get my grand fathers 20 gauge back which is heart breaking as I took better care of that weapon than I did my own car at the time. They treated me like I was completely stupid when I asked about the Sig Saur, tried telling me that, that particular model did not come with an extended barrel which is a lie as mine from the Corp DID have one. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. The one thing I will ever have to do with this place again would be to pick up my 20 gauge from them with their apologies.

Usually I gravitated to whatever it is I was interested in and the dude or dudette behind that counter would ask if I wanted to look at one. Heck, once I picked up a Ruger 10/22 on a whim while a friend of mine go her first Glock. In short, the service is fine. Prices are....well, okay. Not great but not bad. Hence the 4 stars. My offer was 600 for the the two sets. This place wanted to offer only $45.00 for the sets. Are you serious? These are not Walmart diamonds. These are high quality diamonds from one of the biggest jewelry sellers on the island of Manhattan. I understand a business also needs to make a profit off of merchandise but to completely low ball beneath whale turds is actually insulting. I planed on buying a chainsaw from there also but after that crap offer I wouldn't buy anything from here.

It turns out, he wasn't trying to verify it, he was trying to clear out the phone. Once I gave it to them, the employee -- who had promised to hold the phone -- bought the phone, and was fired for stealing within the week. The store refuses to make things right, and the police are on the case. I'm glad this employee was fired, but you can tell the pawn shop supports this kind of behavior - someone taught this employee how to needle the password out of people. And since the store refuses to make things right, they are seemingly continuing to condone this unscrupulous behavior. Pawn shops should do everything in their power not to buy stolen goods, and to make things right when they discover their goods are stolen.

So I went with a bunch of jewelry. Some of it was fake and they told me how to tell. So it was very informative. The prices were fair I thought. The retail price of course was worth much more but it's hard to sell jewelry. So I was only going for the cost of the gold. I was over all extremely happy. I thought the price was ok for gold prices.
