I wasn't sure what to expect from this salon; to be honest I only went there because it was close to home. I have tried one other in the same area and was not at all happy. This salon is in the mall on Centennial, and there are 2 locations. The one I visited is located by the CIBC. Good thing I tried this salon! While it is a little more expensive than other salons in the area for a manicure and shellac (only by about $8), the service and quality of the manicure is well worth it. The location is beautiful, clean, well ventilated and the staff are friendly and attentive. My nails look gorgeous. This is the best manicure and shellac I have ever received. I went in on Sunday with my daughter to get our nails done with Jenny (we have both been clients of the company for over 10 years). We both had scheduled and booked appointments for 11 30. However, when we got to our appointment it appeared they double booked us to both have shellac done by one person. Instead of offering to have someone else do my daughters nails, Jenny said she would take care of us both. My nails were done in approx. 25 minutes. As Jenny proceeded to do my daughters nails, the owner/manger Kathy started to tell her that she had another appointment at noon and kept repeating it. We both also had scheduled appointments. Jenny rushed to get my daughter done in 10 minutes. The job to no discredit to Jenny was poor as she was being told by her boss that her other appointment was more important. As I went ot cash out both of us, Kathy proceeded to tell me that she did not want to compromise quality with the 12:00 appointment and that the time allotted by them for my daughter and I was not enough and her customer service is very important. Well Kathy, your service was awful. You made my daughter feel incredibly uncomfortable for a service WE BOOKED AND PAID FULL PRICE FOR by explaining that someone else after us was more important. Well Kathy, you just lost 2 long standing clients. Oh and all the walk in clients you took while she was waiting clearly were also more important. Never ever go to this place. Jenny is great but rushed and did a poor job and her boss should of been more professional. read more

This place was awful, they attempted to charge my friend 40 dollars for a 25 dollar pedicure. When we asked why she was being charged so much, the lady told us "taxes". We continued to ask for a real explanation as to why we were being charged 40 dollars. This is when she came out and told us about all these hidden fees. She charged extra to take off the existing polish, claiming it was shellac, even though it was not. Even if it was salon policy to charge extra for polish removal, this is something you inform a customer about before continuing on with the service. She was persistent and then got quite rude. She started yelling, threw her hand in my friends face and said "I don't want to talk to you". Save your money, go somewhere where they don't overcharge you and nearly smack you in the face. read more

I have never had a bad experience here. I've been coming here for quite some time now and have enjoyed every mani and pedi received. The foot bassinets are SO clean and are visibly sanitized right in front of you. All tools used are brand new. They have SO many selections of colours. It is very clean and they do a fantastic job. I had my gel nails done a week ago, and a few days later a couple of the nails started lifting from the sides of my real nails. It has only been ONE week and I need a whole new set. Any Google search, friend or co-worker will tell you that your gel set should last 2 weeks. My last gel set lasted 2 weeks from Chinda's Nail Salon in Stoney Creek and I had been playing both volleyball and baseball 2-3 times each week. L'amour Nails was more expensive, charged an extra $10 to cut the skin around the cuticle back, and I haven't played any sports that would cause the nails to come off the way they have. When I asked them if there was anything I could do with the lifted nails myself (e.g. sand them down, anything really!) the girl decided I have "oily nails" and that's why the nails were lifting; no offer to fix them or even a discount for next time. She suggested I come back to have them filed and fill them in; at full price of course. Very poor quality for the price. Avoid this location, there are plenty of decent salons to get your nails done elsewhere. read more
