Yes, let's first state the obvious: the view is AWESOME…read more The restaurant is situated at about 2 to 3 meters from the sea. With wide open views you will hear the sound of the waves during your whole meal... I would definitely recommend trying to make a reservation if possible and ask for a table next to a window. You will not regret it. The reception and staff in general were very friendly and helpfull, a pleasure to have around. For drinks we had a very nice rosé housewine ( 17 € / bottle ). As an aperitif we had some mojito's As a starter we both took beef carpaccio's. A pretty large portion with some "south of france" extra touches to it: some extra cheese, tomatoes, olives,... pretty good. As our main course we both hadh a plate of fresh seafood ( 25 € ). A Nice big plate of various seafood ( shrimps, tuna, dorade, squid rings, gamba, mussels,...). Value for your money: great. Maybe all in all a bit oversized. As a dessert we had the "créme brûlée"...a timeless classic served as it should be. Was everything perfect: no there were some things that could be better: the tuna was a bit over cooked, the rice wasn't all that great and the owner seemed a bit too busy to make up the final bill. But all things combined: this restaurant oozes charm, delivers a great meal served by a friendly staff and within a beautiful, stunning setting

First of all..the server was super nice and fast. I ordered a burger which I never do in France. It was juicy and full of flavor with fantastic toppings and sauce. The fries were perfect home made and hand cut. I might have come for dinner again for a fish special..a white fish..loup I think, in a coconut curry sauce with a quiche and veggies on the side. Very good meals both times!

The Perfect Pizza Nightcap…read more We wanted a pizza to close out the evening, so we walked right across the street from the burger spot to Bobolivo Pizza... and thank goodness we did. The smell alone sold us fresh dough, bubbling cheese, and real ingredients; we were instantly excited to get it back to our rental. There is something about that crust... thin, light, crispy edges with just the right chew... absolutely delicious! The ingredients tasted fresh and balanced, olive oil was present, no heaviness, just a quality pizza that didn't miss. Sometimes, simple is the flex... and Bobolivo proves that. If you're in Marseille and craving a solid pizza to end your day on a high note... this is the spot.

My husband and I had dinner here on a weeknight while visiting Marseille. We sat outside since it…read morewas a beautiful evening. Also, the restaurant next door also had a patio and had a singer and guitarist out there so we were able to have some entertainment during our meal as well. Service was very friendly but since he didn't speak English and my French is elementary, there was a lot of pointing and repeating things until one of us finally understood the other. He was good about it though and laughed when I told him I don't speak French well in French. Just a heads up, the menu is entirely in French but if, like me, you have at least some grasp on the language and know basic food terms, you can probably figure out at least the main ingredients in each dish. If not, there's always Google translate. We enjoyed a bottle of wine with our meal, and received complimentary olives as a snack before our meal. As for the menu (which I posted a picture of) it's a lot of salads and grilled meats. My husband ordered the duck breast which was served with frites and a salad. The duck was nicely prepared to medium and had a tasty seasoning on it too.The meat was very tender, and the portion was also generous. I ordered the goat cheese salad (salade chevre) which had tomatoes, grilled onions, goat cheese atop small baguettes, fries, and cucumbers. The dressing was a sweet balsamic and was delicious. The salad portion was generous and ingredients were fresh. The location is several blocks back from the Old Port so it's mostly locals I believe that visit here given that we were the only ones speaking English at any of the tables near us. I'd absolutely return here for another meal in the future!
