The food was cooked from scratch. It was as fresh as it can get. It was like someone's mother cooked it for me. I kind of assumed with a French theme and so much French on the menu it would be easier to order, but we had some mixups that never got fully sorted out. The flat white and cappuccino were fine, but somehow my husband's pain au chocolat became a heiße schokolade (hot chocolate), all the more confusing because the cafe menu lists only chocolat chaud. I tried to order a croissant pistache, which was sold out, and I don't think they understood I then wanted a second pain au chocolat instead. We didn't get a receipt so I really don't know what we DID order, and when I went to retrieve the mysteriously missing pastries I only got one pain au chocolat and the staff acted like it was an apology for the hot chocolate which I tried to explain we hadn't ordered.
