I've been going there 3 times a week for 2 months now and I'm very happy with the experience. Sifu Jason is excellent, explains the steps very well and he makes learning Tai Chi fun and interesting. My S.O. joins once a week. The Qigong meditation once a month is relaxing and helps me focus. I highly recommend this place.

Eventually a heavy set man came out of his office and started shouting commands, I think once he realized that there was some one else watching that was new. There were a few parents sitting on a bench which seemed a little tacky. I had asked one of the parents what they were paying and could not justify paying the cost that was mentioned for such a bland looking facility. There was very little energy. I have 2 kids that are very interested in getting involved in martial arts and we found a great place in St. Charles that has a totally different energy when you walk in. My advice is this is not the place for your kids or even as an adult which it looked liked both kids and adults were together, very odd.

From what I can see by the other ratings, these people must know the owner because from what we've sen, they are not being truthful. he seems to be more worried about growing his class sizes then paying attention to the kids and their needs which is a shame. The owners & staff are both very professional, respectful and highly skilled. They have a great balance in knowing how to encourage and help the students really excel. Our kids feel like they are part of a team. The environment is hard to beat - the staff sets the tone and other students (children, teenagers and adults) are friendly and encouraging. I notice the more experienced students are happy to share with the new students. I recommend World Martial Arts Academy for any age, gender or skill level. There are opportunities to compete. They reinforce respect and self discipline, the importance of keeping commitments, using your voice, and being responsible. They are incredibly inclusive and welcoming. They really build the kids up by helping develop belief in their own abilities. Every instructor is really great in their own ways (especially ms. Boy was I very, VERY wrong. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and felt completely welcomed. We have been with Tiger Koo's for 6 weeks now and it has completely changed my son in such a positive way. His first class ignited an excitement of something more valuable than the current video game craze - I see his confidence growing and I love seeing him encouraging and cheering on other new members experiencing their first day. I tell you fellow parents I knew the moment after seeing his face after he broke his first board- he was so incredibly happy and the pride he was over come with- it is a parents dream for their kids!
