Funny thing. I ordered red wings and the waiter told me that its "100% hot". I thought how hot could a chicken wing get? Anyhow after much deliberation i opted to have the red hot wings to go as i must admit, that 100% thingy is making me curious plus if its indeed as chili as they say it is I wouldn't wanna be drooling in the resto bearing glances of i told you so.
I had the original flavor to eat in. I find it a little too salty for my liking. but my salt tolerance is a bit low. I think that it would go well with rice than it did with the potato wedges i opted for.
Now on to that red wings - in the safety of my home I took a bite on my first piece. It is savory and delicious. The smaller part of the wing is a bit dry and the meaty part is okay. (but you have to consider that it sat there for the last 4 hours) I like that the meat has its own flavor and not just the batter. I've enjoyed 3 pieces by now and little pearls of sweat are coming out of my forehead. By the time i finished my 5th piece i was frantically drinking milk and eating yoghurt. lesson learnt- when in KyoChon and the waiter says its hot, they aren't kidding
I don't know about you, but i think i just found a scale for my "hotness" tolerance And it is 4 red wings out of 10 red wings. read more
