Can't thank Dr. Himsl and his staff enough for helping me through some medical hurdles. I have a tendency to ask a lot of questions and Dr. Himsl takes his time to answer any and all of them every appointment. His office staff is great, I have spent countless hours with his office manager Kim fighting with my insurance company over a prescription as well as trying to find a pharmacy to fill this prescription. She has always responded within a timely manner and somehow has the patients to deal with me as well as my PPO. read more

I feel sorry about the office to hire this front desk and she said she is the office manager. I tried to make appt with Dr. Kyle Himsl because my family doctor refer me to consult him with my recently CT result. She refused make appt and overuse her power and rude to whom seeking doctor help. She also asked me the insurance info. and i told her is ppo anthem blue cross. then i called back 2nd time and told her the message my family sent this morning and she even did not listen to me and asked me see another doctor! what kind person she is and she should not be in doctor office and i feel sorry about doctor Himsl to have her at front desk. read more

Dr. Himsl is very caring and listens to his patients, He is never in a hurry to get you out of his office. He assisted with my Kidney Cancer surgery and is right on top of my care. I highly recommend Dr. Himsl yea the wait in his office can take awhile, but I have noticed that usually happens when he has an emergency and comes rushing in still wearing his surgical gown. STAY AWAY. Hour and a half waits, at least, for every single visit I've ever had with this doctor for more than 5 years. Dr. Himsl is fine, but his office manager Kim sets his schedule so that there are lines and crowds of patients waiting everywhere and when you finally get seen for about 5 minutes, there's never an apology or acknowledgement for the wait. And when I've taken the time, after all the waiting, to go to see the office manager Kim about the unacceptable wait, her response has always been that I shouldn't be complaining and all doctors are like that. I unfortunately have had to see doctors almost daily for back surgeries and most are not like this. Good doctors make sure to see their patients on time. That's part of being a good doctor. Perhaps they don't have an office manager like Kim that books at least twice as many patients as the doctor can see in the time he or she is in the office. There are other very good urologists in the area, that see their patients on time. Urology is not rocket science. They all pretty much all do the same thing. Do yourself a favor and avoid Dr. Himsl and his incompetent office manager Kim. read more

I recently was seen by Dr Himsl following diagnosis of kidney stones. When the ER referred me to follow up with a urologist I immediately knew I wanted to see Dr Himsl. I had seen him 3 years prior for a cystoscopy. Even though he was taking some time off his office worked me in within a few days and he had reviewed my CT and helped me set a plan for dealing with my stones. He reassured me and made me feel so cared for and took his time explaining the symptoms I was having. I know he is extremely busy but I would not want to go anywhere else. Even my son saw him for vasectomy a few years ago and was very pleased with the quality of care he received. I cannot recommend him highly enough. read more

Dr. Himsl is an exceptional physician but has a VERY busy office. Totally understandable considering his expertise and experience. I had a unique situation and when I was finally referred to Dr. Himsl he explained what was going on in great detail, the process of treatment and recommendations that most physicians would probably have skipped over and went straight to surgery. I just want to say that I have been very fortunate to have found very good doctors in my life. But....I have NEVER gone to a doctor that communicates with his patients as well as Dr Hemsl. Doctor Kyle Himsl is the best urologist! I had a kidney stone surgery with him and it went so well. It's hard finding a doctor you can trust and one who will be there for you but HE is the one! Unfortunately I do have stones frequently but he has showed me ways to minimize them along with how to control the pain. He's welcoming, genuine, and easy to talk to and not to mention the best doctor ever! I highly recommend this doctor to anyone looking for the best urologist! read more

There are some doctors who are the most brilliant, and Dr. Himsl is definitely in this group. He is so incredibly knowledgeable, and always explains things in a lay-person's language so you know exactly what he is talking about. He is quick and efficient in his diagnosis process, and very "matter of fact" about sharing, like a friend would be. I would STRONGLY recommend Dr. Himsl. With regards to communication, which is a problem with every medical office around (thanks HIPPA), the BEST way to communicate with Dr. Himsl or his office is through the patient porthole online. Otherwise, like all other busy offices which have multiple doctors, the communication by phone can be an experience which most other non-medical businesses do not suffer from. But that is standard practice now with medical offices, and the patient needs to learn how to communicate according to the provider's process if they want fast or efficient service. Dr. Himsl and his partner Dr. Desai performed a partial nephrectomy on me to remove a cancerous tumor. They were able to save most of my kidney! and did it robotic laproscopic...So grateful for this amazing team, and especially to Dr. Himsl. It very sad that I didnt even have the pleasure of meeting the Dr. , But Ulisa the office staff was so rude and very unknowledgeable. So when I asked to speak to an office Manager, she rudely that " Cindy is the Manager and she is the one who told me to have you call the hospital yourself!!"If a Dr. Allows his staff to treat his patients like that, that is no person I want treating me. It would be very accurate to say Dr Himsl saved my life. Dr Himsl ordered my blood test and within 2 hours determined I was in kidney failure and had me admitted. 5 days (most of the time in CCU) he was there for me. Once, it must have been 4 or 5 in the morning on his way to surgery he took the time to check up on me. Caring with a smile on his face he said "I can fix this". This was a very, very tough time for me. A lot of tears and fears. I was discharged around the Christmas and New Years holiday and he was available by phone or text when you would think every other Dr in the world had vacated. A couple of times I thought i would need to go to the emergency department and he was there to reassure that although I didn't feel well and things didn't look good I was ok and somewhat normal for what i was enduring. 3 months later, when I was strong enough I had my surgery and Dr Himsl was the man in charge. Some people would say I shouldn't have my procedure at a certain hospital. My feeling and Dr Himsl agrees, it's the Dr and the team. His office staff is amazing. Diane, Kim and Michael were exceptional (in alphabetical order). Dr Himsl was out of my network and the office worked with me. When his name is mentioned people say how wonderful he is. Here I am 9 weeks post op and while I'm still healing everything works as it should. He said he could fix it and he did. read more
