Recently I had several fencing companies come out and give me a bid for fences for my house plus two of my neighbors. We decided to split the costs on our adjoining fences. Brandon at Kyle fencing was the ONLY one of all the fencing companies who said he used wood screws instead of nail guns. At our last house we had a fence company come in and used nail guns and I swore never again. When it's time to replace a single picket or rail that's damaged, nail guns make the task ridiculously difficult. Plus, companies that use nail guns typically are trying to get the job done as fast as possible and then move on to the next one. That's not a formula for quality work. When I asked the other fence companies to add wood screws instead of nails, one flat out refused to do so and the other wanted $550 more for extra materials cost and extra time for labor. Brandon's bid came out below the two others even with using the same quality western red cedar and wood screws. He did a great job. Our fence is beautiful and I recommend him most highly. Now let me tell you the one thing in his Google reviews that's negative and then I'll tell you why. Don't expect to get an answer to your text message immediately back. In fact, you might not even get an answer back the same day. Sometimes I got an answer to my question two days later at 4:30 in the morning! Brandon's prices and his quality is so much better than others because Brandon doesn't sit behind a desk all day while he sends his workers out to do the jobs. Brandon IS Kyle Fencing and Kyle Fencing IS Brandon. This man works from can to can't 7 days a week, and when you realize this, give him a break if he gets home at 8:30 at night and chooses to eat supper and go to bed instead of answering your text message. I had Brandon put up a fence for me back in January. I opted to use high quality lumber and material. He cost was reasonable to other contractors. He states he puts his posts 2ft below. In June I noticed 3 of my gates were not opening anymore and my fence was leaning over. I further inspected the posts and they were 1 ft in the ground. I have reached out numerous times and was promised they would take a look. We are now in late August and text messages and calls are not returned. Brandon and his crew did a great job on our new cedar residential fence. I had 3 other top-rated fence companies out to give me bids prior to choosing Kyle Fencing. Pricing was about comparable but these are the things that stood out above the rest for this company: --6 inch cedar pickets were 1 inch thick (all other companies used thinner). --Pickets were screwed into the supporting cross bars with deck screws vs. attached with nails. --Concrete for the posts was mixed outside of the hole for the post vs. in the hole. --I was asked where the wood should be put on my property vs. dropped anywhere on the grass. --Short wait time to get on the schedule. --Friendly and fast-working crew. --Staining the new fence with clear stain was also done for reasonable price. --They also stained our existing pine deck and built us a privacy fence for our trash cans. --Lattice work was installed above a section above our fence for privacy. I highly recommend you consider Kyle Fencing if looking to invest in a high-quality long-lasting fence or lattice work. Our previous builder installed pine 3 inch plank fence lasted 16 years.
