For my September 1st wedding, the last but crucial piece of the puzzle was to find a wedding DJ. I am Filipino, and my family has varied tastes and LOVES to dance. After seeing Khader DJ and his brother Hannah emcee at a good friend's wedding (I was a bridesmaid), I knew who I wanted to call first. Khader was professional every step of the way, providing lists of music, offering additional services (lighting, screens, projectors) and was SO easy to coordinate with via email, text, and phone. He even coordinated the timeline with my photographer and caterer to make sure every moment could be captured. Nothing on our "do not play" list was played (yay!), and all the music we had requested for our bridal party's introductions was personally edited to the awesome parts. He had an AMAZING money dance playlist of old school jams that my guests seemed really pleased with, and when it was time to invite people to the dance floor, I'd say 90% of our guests were out there shaking their groove thangs for an hour straight, and I've never seen that, ever! This was our first time hiring a DJ, but when 90% of your guest our boogying on the dance floor for most of the night, you know you must have made the right choice. In addition to playing music and MC'ing we were surprised and delighted they did much more. We original met with Kharder, who is nice, but not outgoing like you would expect a wedding DJ to be. He quickly explained, that he only plays the music, and that his brother Hana does the rest. We didn't meet Hana until the day of the wedding. After the ceremony he introduced himself, and asked us if there is anything else we needed. He continued to this thought out the evening, and we were impressed with his sincerity and how genuine he seemed. He was one of the very first vendors we booked and it was seamless to work with him from start to finish. From the very beginning he was extremely responsive and attentive to all of our emails and very organized and thorough, sending us documents to fill out with our song requests and accommodating our Spotify playlist requests as well. The day of he came extremely early to set up and was all ready to go when it came time for our reception. Being a wedding coordinator for close friends and having several weddings under my belt, DJ Kidd was by far the easiest DJ I have ever worked with. He answers all your questions and goes above and beyond to provide you with extra information that's very useful! He was a dream DJ when accommodating all our preferences and logistical needs. He's very organized, plans ahead, and reasonably priced. He gives 110% effort in making sure everything runs smoothly and will take the extra steps in communicating with everyone involved. KYanni Productions is a two-brother team; Khader DJs and Hanna emcees. Reid Y. and I hired Khader and Hanna to DJ our August 2011 wedding reception, and I cannot emphasize enough in words how valuable their services were. We first met Khader who first tried to get to know us and find out what we were looking for. Based on his expertise, background, and being so well prepared for our meeting, we liked him off the bat and signed a contract shortly after without meeting anyone else. Two months before the wedding, we met Khader again when he welcomed us to his home. Since we did NOT have a day-of coordinator or any wedding planner at all, he walked us through general suggestions on how the day could flow from ceremony and preparation through reception. His expertise on wedding reception timelines and flow really helped here, because we were unsure of how these things usually go. His candid feedback and suggestions were really helpful. Khader was also extremely reliable in that he would follow up very promptly on emails, etc. whenever he said he would. Two weeks before the wedding, I had sent Khader a detailed timeline of the wedding day and a set of everyone's roles and responsibilities. He carefully read everything so that when we met the reception facility manager and caterer for the on-site walk-through, he was on point to ask all the right questions and provide suggestions. While I never met Hanna, he coordinated so closely with Khader that there was NO misinformation or lack of communication between me and Hanna during the day of the wedding. On the wedding day during the reception, Hanna acted as our reception coordinator and point man; he coordinated with the caterer of when food should be served, when toasts would be given, when to cut the cake (and ensured all the utensils/plates were ready before he announced it), etc. He was always within earshot, and he always quickly and discreetly checked in with me, the caterer, and the toasters (?) to let me know what was going to happen next. All this was in *addition* to his emcee duties, which he performed flawlessly, with no cheesy lines or surprises, and made the evening flow so effortlessly. If there were any snafus, we never knew about them. Khader as DJ was great too, of course. He mixed the appropriate songs during dinner, incorporating songs off our list of favorites, and turned it up during the dancing portion of the night. The only bit of advice I have is that for first dance, mother-groom dance, and father-bride dance, you may consider specifying the version of the song you would like to dance to. I note this because we had requested Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" and had not specified the singles/radio version which Reid Y. and I sing to together often; Khader played the acoustic version - which was totally fine and still awesome - but I messed up the lyrics when I was singing them outloud on the dancefloor during our first dance :P Again, no biggie for us. Oh, I'd also like to point out that Khader was so accommodating in that he was able to find a version of a song from the 60's that my dad had named me after. They played it during the course of the night, and Hanna mentioned that it was dedicated from my dad to me. +1 for a very special memory on top of an already awesome day! We hired KYanni Productions for our wedding in Vermont. We flew the 2 DJs out to Boston and rented a car for them to drive to Southern VT. They MADE our wedding. We asked them to 'do what they do' for the reception instead of giving them a playlist of songs. They mixed it up and played music from ALL decades. We had a 69 year old dancing next to a 13 year old. The guests kept saying how much fun they were having and asked who the DJs were. A bit later in the night the DJs started mixing music and the party got even more fun!!! As the bride I danced the ENTIRE night and don't remember being off the dancefloor. I had an amazing time and it was just so much fun because we had the right music and the right DJs running our wedding. Another wonderful aspect about this DJ service is the way they ran the whole reception. They had a timed outline and they stuck to it. When you're the bride & groom, you have no concept of time or what should happen when. KYanni Productions and DJ Kidd (Khader) get 5 stars on all counts! Several of my friends hired DJ Kidd for their wedding and couldn't stop raving about him...and now I'm the same! I had a big outdoor wedding (~275) last June and had numerous vendors and moving parts...and DJ Kidd was BY FAR my absolute favorite vendor to work with. Here's why: - Quality DJ: As a DJ, he was awesome. He sent me pdfs of different song ideas for different events (e.g. First Dance, Grand Entrance, etc.). We coordinated beforehand the exact songs that I wanted him to play at certain times, and he followed all of my instructions to a tee. During dinner and dancing I just gave him a rough idea of the type of genre/songs that I liked, and he came up with perfect playlists. For the dancing part, he mixed the songs well so there were never awkward gaps, and he was able to feel the crowd. The sound quality and volume were great for both my ceremony and reception (again, I had a really big wedding, so having quality sound was so important). - Coordination: I had several vendors, including a videographer, mini donut station, and MC, and Khader worked seamlessly with all of them. I was really worried about having a donut station outside with all the DJ/lighting equipment at the same time, but Khader suggested doing a site visit at our venue to work out all the logistics. He did it for free, and this was before we even hired him! Khader was organized, reliable, and thorough from beginning to end. - Communication: Khader was so on top of everything. If I emailed him with questions, he would respond within a few hours (usually an hour) with very thorough answers. One time I called him and found out that he had already programmed my name and phone number into his cell phone! Superb customer service. Oh my, where do I even begin? I received a referral for KYanni Productions from my chair rental company, Lush Rentals (another great vendor!). I contacted Khader and right from the beginning he was very cordial, eager, and easy to work with. I didn't have a big budget for my wedding and I felt that the prices they quoted me were very reasonable. But looking back on my day, it was a steal considering all they did for us. Khader and Hanna are an awesome team. They helped make everything run so smoothly and were so supportive from the minute I contacted them to inquire about their services to the minute we got into our get away car after the wedding. We hired DJ Kidd for our wedding reception on March 24, 2018 and he was AMAZING! We had heard many good things from our friends who referred him, but working with him definitely confirmed this. Not only was he great on the day of, he was also very accommodating and easy to work with during the entire wedding prep process. He laid out, in a very simple and straightforward manner, the steps we needed to take in order to ensure a smooth wedding reception. For example, he gave us easy-to-follow lists for us to fill out, regarding which songs we wanted for different parts of the event (dinner music, father/daughter dance, etc.). While he did offer his professional advice, he was also very flexible and accommodating to our specific needs and requests. We sent him what seemed like a million emails, and he was very responsive to all of them. We also felt like DJ Kidd went above and beyond to ensure that my wife and I were completely satisfied with his services. For example, he voluntarily made a picture monogram with our names inscribed on it, which was projected on the screen during dinner - for no additional cost! We provided him a song list of what we wanted played and he went with that and also the flow of the crowd. I have used KYanni Productions 5 times now for all types of events - for work and personally with family and friends, etc. DJ Kidd has yet to disappoint me. His most recent talent and services were displayed at our high school reunion in Pleasanton. My class and I were extremely happy with all the songs he played, and because of that is a big reason why we had a blast! KYanni Productions was hands-down our favorite vendor to work with for our wedding. After my (now) husband found gleaming reviews on Yelp, we decided to meet with Khader to talk about our wedding and what we were looking for in a DJ. We immediately felt right at home with him. We knew he would provide us with the best sound, equipment, talent and customer service we were looking for. Khader and Hannah invited us to a few events prior to our wedding where we had the chance to see them in action. It was great to see how they run their events and how they manage to keep the energy up with the crowd. They are very dedicated to making sure everyone is enjoying themselves and are sure to change up the music and scene when they feel a lul approaching. Throughout our 6 month relationship prior to the wedding day, Khader was there answering every email and text. No matter how big or small every question and detail was answered within hours of asking. I think that was the best part about hiring KYanni Productions. They not only provide the music (as any basic DJ would do) but they offer ideas and tailor their services to fit your needs. KYanni Productions not only met us at the venue (an hour away) for a sound check the day before, but also made sure our guitarists were hooked up, provided mics for our officiant, lead the entire reception flow and best of all provided my groom with an awesome surprise - a techno music filled hour including lasers, lights and a fog machine. Khader was hired as part of a package though someone else for our wedding in Nov 2013. We had an excellent experience with him! There was another emcee for the event, but the Khader's part was excellent! EVERYONE loved the music that was played. It was a Filipino-heavy wedding and he made sure to play a set for the older folks that included many favorites. My parents/relatives were impressed and loved dancing even until the very end. The communication process was simple. He was always quick to respond via email and we had a couple meetings with him via phone. We were able to request specific songs to be played during the reception and also ask that specific songs not be played at all. He even indulged a young relative and played a song twice (which made for a happy child). There was also a custom edit for the bride and groom entrance. Get this guy ASAP for your event! read more

We hired Khader and Hanna to DJ & MC our wedding reception in Santa Clara. The service we received was absolutely top-tier. They were extremely organized in all that they did. Khader and Hanna are very experienced with DJing weddings, and as such they provided us documents that already had all of the standard wedding events printed out (first dance, cake cutting, etc) with blank spaces next to them where we write in what songs we want them to play for each. There were even some events we forgot we needed music for! To make things even better, they provided a number of PDFs with the top songs of each genre so we could save ourselves some effort. Prior to the wedding we met up with Khader on several occasions to work out some minor details and each was as painless as the last. They go to great lengths to ensure that you (the bridge and groom) will have absolutely 0 stress day-of. I remember one of these meet-ups I had asked Khader what we should do for arranging everyone's entrance, as we had many people who needed to enter in quick succession. It was to our pleasant surprise to find out that not only would Hanna be willing to take over coordinating that, but that he actually preferred to coordinate it! They assured us that on the day-of they would handle organizing that entire ordeal. We were ecstatic to hear that. We had worked out a schedule for them to follow day-of and they executed flawlessly. There were a number of sections where I told them they could just play whatever they wanted (dinner, for example) and the music they selected was perfect. Their experience came out again when Khader told me they would like to play something more upbeat during dinner as they have found that if you play slow music during that time people tend to get sleepy. This is just another small instance where their experience with weddings was really helpful. The reception went flawlessly. Hanna did a terrific job organizing and arranging everyone's entrances as expected. Another pleasant surprise came to us during the reception itself - throughout the reception Hanna made the effort to quickly approach us and inform us of the next few events that were about to happen. We didn't ask him to do this, and we were already aware of the schedule, but Hanna knew that the wedding couple would probably appreciate simple reminders like that - and we definitely did. I'll state again that he was very quick about his updates, making sure not to come in if we were talking to someone, and making them brief so as to not interrupt any of our attention elsewhere. It was extremely helpful. It's also worth pointing out that our schedule included two games that neither Khader nor Hanna had ever seen before, yet with a simple explanation Hanna was able to run the games perfectly. Hanna went above and beyond at our wedding as our MC. In addition to keeping our guests up to date of the evening's events, he went out of his way to ensure my wife and I were being taken care of. His motivational attitude helped us and our guests really enjoy ourselves throughout the evening. Khader knew just how to keep our family and friends dancing at our wedding. I was looking for a DJ for our wedding after-party, I found DJ Kidd through Yelp, and he absolutely lived up to the 5-star status he has earned so far through this site. From the very beginning he was attentive, professional, responsive, and helpful. He gave me a great price for my event, explained everything he needed from me, and any time I asked him a question over either email or text message he responded very quickly. Once I asked him for a remix of a song I really liked and within 24 hours he had sent me six or seven versions of the song! I was very impressed at how much he went above and beyond for such a small request. He played most all of the playlist we asked for, but it didn't matter that he skipped one or two songs because he kept everyone (including myself) dancing all night. We found DJ Kidd because our friends recommended him since he did an excellent job at their wedding - so we enlisted DJ Kidd's help for our wedding this past Saturday as well. I've got to say, DJ Kidd is AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. The BEST DJ anyone could ask for! My husband and I wouldn't have wanted ANY other DJ at our wedding - he did an absolutely amazing job. And its not just his day-of services that we appreciate very much - from the very beginning when we requested a quote from him, he was lightning quick and amazingly detailed with all his responses. You can definitely tell he wanted the best for us, took complete ownership of his role in our wedding ceremony and reception, is an incredibly seasoned veteran in the DJing field, and is well-rounded with him equipment and sound-system knowledge. Upon signing the contract, he sent us a very organized package of information and request for information that made communicating wedding details with him incredibly easy. He checked in with us every so often in the best way possible and asked all the questions he had in an organized manner. He even cut/customized our first-dance song so that it wouldn't be too long and it would include the song's verse that I liked! He ended up sending four different versions for me to choose from - THIS is amazing customer service!!! Also, we had to decide to move our wedding ceremony in the night before our wedding due to the unpredictable weather forecast and he was also lightning quick with his responses the night before. He expressed his concerns with the indoor room quality and how the sound system would be placed - and reassured me that he'll make sure everything would be setup well - and he MADE IT WORK incredibly well! Our friends who we asked to perform during our ceremony expressed how amiable and great DJ Kidd was to work with too! Overall, I would recommend DJ Kidd to ANYONE for ANY event. His customer service is top-notch, he is incredibly responsive, detailed, caring, and professional. His timing to cut in and cut out of songs during the ceremony and reception was GREAT. Even a friend of ours who works in A/V complimented DJ Kidd's timing of everything! Although we had a friend MC for our reception, DJ Kidd also MCed at certain parts and he definitely has the voice for a DJ! We wouldn't have wanted our wedding any other way so thank you so much DJ Kidd!!! These guys are SO amazing!! By far the best vendors we had at our wedding last summer. They're so great at what they do, very professional, super personable, affordable, and people were dancing ALL night! The floor wasn't empty for a second. They helped us out with song choices when we needed and made it really easy to pick songs for the playlist. We had Arabic and English music and they transitioned between songs so well that you didn't even realize the language had changed. Arabs were dancing to the American songs and Americans were dancing to the Arabic songs. It was a blast and we recommend them without hesitation. Seriously, they're the best. We found DJ Kidd through one of my friends. From our DJ, we were looking for a broad song list, excellent audio equipment (can actually broadcast in a big space), unique lighting (to set a lively atmosphere), a decent price (less than $2,000), and a personality fit (caring, cool and easy-going, yet professional). From the start, we were very, very impressed with how nice and knowledgeable DJ Kidd was. Also, over time we came to find he was also sooo accommodating in sooo many ways. He was creative and skilled in producing and/or finding: (a) our grand entrance mix, (b) our first dance mix, (c) our obscure Filipino slow dance song, and (d) our signature line dance song. He also invested in the time to work with our MCs to ensure a fun reception program for all of us. Khader also proved to be a proactive and great problem solver. Without being told, Khader helped our reception coordinator find the perfect place for our cake and he even provided cocktail hour music when our guitarist didn't show up (this was HUGE!!!). We were just so impressed with DJ Kidd and his attention to detail. For example, he even created a custom wedding monogram for us at no additional charge! But above all, DJ Kidd kept the music hot and everyone kept dancing and dancing and having fun. At the last minute, he also tracked down the G6 song (Giants world series version) for us which was just awesome. During and after the wedding, we received a bunch of compliments from a number of our wedding guests who were audiophiles and who appreciated DJ Kidd's skills which included beat matching, audio/speaker set-up for a difficult space, and even his quality equipment selection (computer, software, speakers, lighting etc). Our cinematographers were so impressed with KYanni Productions that they've already recommended DJ Kidd to their other clients. All in all, we give DJ Kidd and KYanni productions our highest vote of confidence. We highly doubt you will find any other DJ out there who is as friendly, skilled, and customer-oriented as DJ Kidd. I spent about 3 weeks researching different DJ's and MC's online. Then, fortunately, as the online options were getting bleak and rather uncertain, one of my close friends recommended the DJ she used for her wedding. I spoke with Khader (DJ Kidd) on the phone and his gentle nurturing tone of voice, his ability to understand everything I wanted from our initial chat, and with his accommodating nature, I knew he was the man for the job. We also really needed an MC, which he recommend using his brother (MC Hanna). I never met him until the day of the wedding, but we talked for half an hour prior and WOW, what a gem. He was indescribably sincere, helpful without needing direction, and got all our family and friends involved in the wedding activities. He was more than an MC. He would ask if I needed water throughout the night, help gather folks for photos using his voice, and get people organized with the coordinator. He went above and beyond anything I asked for. DJ Kidd and MC Hanna Yanni is really the best DJ/MC duo you could ask for and I would highly recommend to anyone who wants a stress-free, fun, and just genuinely good people as your entertainment gurus. read more
