He takes the time to show you the exercise from multiple angles, floats around the class offering helpful advice. My favorite part is if you ask him WHY the move is done in such and such of a way, he not only shows you why but he has the knowledge to explain why you should do it that way. His monthly seminars are fantastic (which include line-of-fire, 3rd party protection, knife fighting, stick fighting, ground survival and lots more). Not only does Tom teach Krav, but he also teaches Muay Thai, cardio kickboxing, ground survival and a Little Dragons class. I wish I could still afford to train...but you can bet your bottom dollar that the instant I can afford to go back I will be in class. You can't go wrong here folks. Of all of the schools I've trained at in New York, San Francisco and even Thailand, I never got the same level of attention that I did at Core. In fact, I probably have them to thank every time I get complimented on my technique because if it wasn't for Eric and Erinn's eye for detail, I would not be where I am today. Too many gyms let students slide in technique in favor of pushing people through ranks or letting people just wail on bags. But that is not the Core way, not at all. Eric has a very unique gift for giving you an amazing workout while also really teaching you what to do. You won't just learn how to punch - you'll learn why you punch this way as opposed to that way, why you kick like this instead of like that. Really, the lessons I learned at Core have been invaluable. Also, Eric and Erinn are awesome people. They really care about their students and have a good time with the classes. If you're looking to learn martial arts and get in fantastic shape in a friendly, noncompetitive environment, Core should be your first stop.

The kids loved the games and safety lessons from Ms. Michelle. She did a fantastic job keeping 9 kids in line and having fun. They were exceptionally accommodating and served the kids their snacks and cake without my husband and I really ever lifting a finger. They even packed up all leftover food and gifts to bring to the car. Best parts were seeing the huge smile on my son's face when he cut his cake with a sword and then broke a board with a kick. He was so proud of himself . I highly recommend this business as a birthday option for children. We will be trying them out as well for formal classes!

I love the class structure. Each class are broken into smaller groups based on their belt level and will have small sessions with each masters. These smaller groups gives the opportunities for your child to get seen. It's a very family oriented center. They hold different events throughout the year and even have parties to bring the TKD community closer. My boys loves the challenge to achieve their black belt. Don't expect to become a black belt over night, it take motivation and perseverance to get there.

Master Shawn convinced me that he would address such issues and help the students overcome it, however, nothing changed after I brought it up in meetings with Master Shawn. After attending for another few months, we decided to leave the program and had a meeting with Master Shawn, who promised that he would work out a partial refund. Half a year later, we're still waiting to hear from him, trying to reach him to receive any kind of refund to no avail. We haven't completed even half the program, we returned all the equipment, and had an impression that Master Shawn was the man of his word, who promised to partially refund the payment. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but when the business isn't following up on their promises, isn't responding to phone calls and isn't trying to help its customers, that business isn't deserving of a good review.

All I had to do at that point was to give the school a call, and see if they are even open (due to COVID), and if they are, how they are operating and what not. Easy, right? Wrong. I tried the contact number that was listed on the internet first. No answer. I believe their website had the same number, so no luck there either. After about an hour of search, I was able to find a number, I guess on their facebook page. It went straight to voice mail (I think it was a google voice number), and the greeting gave another number and suggested that I "text" that number. I left a voice mail, and then sent text to the other number, as suggested. No answer. I kept calling and leaving voice mails, and texting both numbers for the following two days. No answer. I ended up enrolling him to another school. The End.

When we enrolled staff went over everything with us including cost, schedules, expectations, payment and answered any questions I had before we enrolled. Any questions that I have had, any of the staff has always been able to answer my questions or find someone that can. My son has learned so much, made great friends, had great mentors in his Sensei's and had a lot of fun in not only the classes, but the camps, Halloween party, competitions, etc. This karate community has been amazing for our son and family. Highly recommend!

Alex then, after my email, charged us for month 1 and declined to accept our withdrawal. Very poor ethics and business IMO, especially when kids are involved. Don't fall for the high pressure sales tactic. I would NOT advocate for this lack of empathy of a local company.

Mr and Mrs. Hogle are excellent teachers, impressive martial artists, and they care deeply about their students. They teach traditional ITF Taekwondo and their classes are a perfect combination of really good workouts, technical learning and character building. I'm always very impressed by the demeanor of the kids I train with there. As an adult woman, I also have a particular appreciation for the gender equality that I find at this school. Some of the other schools I trained at had somewhat of a "boys club" feel to them. I would often be the only female in the class and the students seemed uncomfortable training with a woman. There is none of that at Holon Wellness. Mr and Mrs. Hogle set the tone as they are both equally fierce fighters and their classes are very diverse (from gender to age). I couldn't recommend them highly enough.
