Then, we had to grab a few other things in the store so walked through pretty quickly with a targeted attack. It's easy to get distracted here as they just pack so much in to every aisle. Their prices are pretty comparable to other grocery stores but they do have some good sales. The vibe is a little chaotic, similar to a Costco sometimes. That being said, they have a phenomenal selection of cheese with local and commercial offerings. We would come back but perhaps during off hours so as to not have to navigate a chaotic parking lot.

The clerks at the other lanes, being in a hurry of course, must just toss everything willy-nilly into a bag (and they'd do exactly the same, even if using the boxes (yes, reusable BOXES) that I bring, and my reusable double paper bags with handles. I pack my stuff a certain way for the ride back home -- so, thanks but no thanks to foregoing the self-check. But yeah, Stan D., nearly always a technical problem at the POS checkout. For both of our last two visits, 2 of 3 self-checks OUT OF ORDER . . . with no one, the entire time, coming around to make any effort, of any kind, to get them up and running. As a bonus -- During my LONG time spend in what should be a fast process (with food thawing the entire time), there's the same ongoing and repeated problem in the lane that WAS "working": frequent yawps of "Please place item on the belt", after it had, of course, already been scanned correctly and, um, DUH, correctly placed onto the belt. Retrieve it from the big pile of done stuff, bring it back, put it onto the belt (AGAIN), swear, hold mock pistol against your temple, pull the mock trigger. The latest 20-minute odyssey, behind just ONE other person, took that long precisely for that reason. (Without those asinine and infuriating glitches, my scanning and paying would be among the fastest in history.) This sh*t no longer feels like a reasonable price to pay, in exchange for what is still, in my view, an excellent selection and good prices (compared to the joke known as Pick 'n Save, and the lovely but costly Sendik's).

Her facial expressions where not for someone who deals with the public. I have an amputated thumb less than 2 weeks ago. When she was rude to me I asked her if she could put the 7lb ice in a bag for me. She says yes I guess I can? Then she drops the bag on the counter. I asked her mam you did not need to drop it. She says it is heavy. I show her my thumb which is an open wound. She says to me don't give me an attitude? I said give you an attitude? Mam keep the change I will never stop back. This is the second employee that treated me like dirt. The last one was a 3rd shift employee. I rarely stop at this location. This store is quick bring them in and push them out. I so miss Speedway that used to be on Sunset Dr and Hwy 164 / 59. Stay away from this store if you are a senior. Because it don't matter, get them in get them and get the out is what this location does. Very poor management for the weekend crew or second or third shift. I told he keep the change you must need it. I hope she does not have a dog. If she does, I do know what the poor dog goes through. This lady I never seen there before. It was founded in 1965 in my home state of WI, specifically, Eau Claire (have fun pronouncing that all you non-Wisconsinites). A Long John is a yeast/raised doughnut that is typically iced and sometimes filled with custard, cream, or some other filling. The term is primarily utilized in the Midwest, Texas, and Canada. Other parts of the U.S. refer to Long Johns as Bar Doughnuts, Finger Doughnut, or Cream Stick (that one sounds kind of dirty). The variety I have from Kwik Trip had chocolate icing and a multitude of OREO chunks decorating its surface. Cookies n cream is one of my favorite dessert flavors and I was ecstatic that it even contained creme in the center. I honestly thought this was going to be a top tier doughnut but could not have been more wrong. All the bells and whistles are useless if the basics are neglected. In this case, the body of the doughnut/dough had a bland flavor and did not taste fresh (or at least poor texture). It seemed like it was almost this was some sort of a prank.
