Three words most people would never use together in a sentence in their lifetime. DEEP FRIED GIZZARDS. Yes you read that right. From where I'm from, gas station convenience stores have those disgusting dried out so called hotdogs rotating for days on those roller thingies. This is not the case in Kansas. There you walk into a gas station convenience store and you'll find real food like freshly fried chicken, fries, BBQ and of course Deep Fried Chicken Gizzards. You can grab a bag of them for less than $4 dollars and munch away. Since, to the best of my knowledge I can't get this delightful snack in Western New York, I am inspired to break out the deep fryer and tale a shot at making them myself. I can hardly wait.

Managers here need to do better.

Well, there is nothing "cheap" in this store, unless it is damaged. It is sad, I remember you could eat for cheap shopping there. What's concerning for me is...it is the only grocery store in the area, which is economically low, and the prices were way more expensive than Walmart and Dillons. Just out of curiosity, I looked in the freezer area to see a brand that I might have know the regular price at other stores...a Totino's pizza that was so old the packing was blown up about to pop and it was $3.17!!! The same pizza (not old), is $1.75 at regular grocery stores. Are they marking up prices because they know many people in that neighborhood don't have transportation?!?! That's pathetic...do better!! I will not be shopping there again. Very disappointed!!!

I had been following for YEARS on Facebook (can't even remember how I found them!), and have since moved out of town, but I wanted to give my dad a surprise gift for Valentine's Day. I messaged the business on Facebook, and within minutes, Stacy responded to my inquiry. She made it so easy to order a gift basket and even offered to have it delivered to his home. I was blown away and incredibly appreciative of such great service. For a gift basket of 3 cheeses, sausage, beef sticks, crackers, jelly, and a cutting board and knife, it was only $65! They also threw in a couple of chocolates and a handwritten card to make it special :) Everything (I'm told) was super tasty, with the Habanero Ghost Pepper cheese being a favorite. I'm excited to continue gifting Stumpy's to friends and family in the Topeka area and beyond.
