I am never going to be someone to deny the useful nature of a big chain around the country such as Kwik Fit, particularly when it comes to mechanics, which quite frankly I know very little about. However, when I started driving, I had a problem with my car. I took it here as it was the closest place I thought of. I had had my car, which was new at the time, for aproximately 5 days. When I took it in the diagnosis seemed bleak and the man behind the counter told me a load of things that were wrong with it, using all sorts of jargon. For Pete's sake, it was only a 5 day old car and this man was telling me I had to shell out £150? Begrudgingly I shelled out the cash, and the problems with my car seised. I know that if I had taken it to a local garage, it would have cost me a tenth of the price. I felt used and cheated, a typical female victim to mechanics who like to prey on the fact I may not have known what they were talking about. Sure enough, I'm never going back to this branch.
