He took the time to explain the program, answer all our questions, and help us become acclimated to the program. Four people in my family signed up ages 10-47 and everyone loves the experience. The instructors take the time to explain things, allow you to work at your own pace when you are just getting started, and teach you how to work towards your goals. The program helps teach discipline and build confidence, while still having fun. The best part of the program (besides the instructors) is that the system is designed to allow you to achieve based on the work you put in, and still set the goals to be within reach. For beginners this is an important aspect -- they aren't just giving away belts like candy, instead you are seeing the tasks you must perform, skills you must learn -- and they are all attainable through the program. Great group of people in a great environment!

So I started my free 6 weeks at Karate, over the time I started to return and like it even more. Once I finish up my free six weeks, I was asked if I wanted to continue and I said yes lets do it. Over the last 8 years its been a long and rough ride, with dating someone and then having to let that person go because of my actions, and then growing to become taller than my instructor, I still get told I'm to tall to this day by that same instructor. I have been through the covid era which was rough in itself. Over the time I have worked on myself and now Im going for my first degree black belt. Time to finish everything and get my black belt.

The Instructors know names within moments of new students on the mat. They want to have an Action Karate family and they do a great job achieving that. Beyond the physical element of martial arts, the mental element is just as important. The life lessons that are discussed and the way to navigate age appropriate issues are second to none. We really have felt lucky to have martial arts in our lives and plan to continue with this studio and journey.

Despite my genetic hypermobility, I lacked the musculature and training to kick above my waist. Master Giamo recognized my untapped potential and took me under his wing. I am now a 5th Dan. I assist in instructing classes at Eagleville Taekwondo while continuing my mentorship under Master Giamo. His deep knowledge of Taekwondo and exceptional attention to detail have shaped me into not only a better practitioner and athlete but also a better teacher and judge. I will continue practicing Taekwondo for as long as I am physically able.

We originally enrolled him because he is a shy kid, and we wanted him to learn self-defense, discipline, stay active, and be part of a positive community. This gym has delivered all of that and so much more. From day one, they've treated us like family. The instructors are not only skilled in what they are teaching but are amazing with the kids no matter what their personality may be. They know how to celebrate their achievements and build their confidence on and off the mats. The sense of encouragement and camaraderie here is unmatched. They offer a wide range of classes that fit all kinds of schedules and interests across all different types of martial arts. No matter your age or level, there is a class for you. We are incredibly grateful for the role this gym has played in shaping our son's confidence, character, and physical fitness over the years. We are especially grateful to Professor Rich for everything he has done for our son and supporting our family in raising such an amazing young man.

While there, I…read morewas hoping to train a little and found that Renzo Gracie PA was just a few blocks away from where I was staying. Figured I had to check this place out, as my gym in CA is run by Renzo's older brother Charles! Before I left, I reached out by email during the day, and then was surprised to get a call from Professor Rich Latta later that evening. He was super welcoming, said I could come to class as much as I wanted and gave me the option of bringing my own Gi or borrowing one of theirs. I ended up borrowing one. All i had to do was commit to a reasonable deposit that would only be charged if the Gi not returned, and wash it upon return as well. Note: I returned it and they did not charge me :) This gym has a nice blend of Gi and No-Gi classes, and open mat day is no-gi based. When i showed up on open mat day without a rash guard (yes im a dirty Yes-Gi person), Rich was super accommodating and even offered boxing if i didnt want to roll in their Gi pants and my t-shirt. I ended up attending a class with Professor Padilla and learned some super cool moves I have already successfully crushed some of my home gym members with. Everyone in class was cool. Its a safe and welcoming environment. No meatheads or anything, and everyone was helpful. The gym itself is immaculate and they literally sanitize the mats after each class. I also really liked the mat floor, as it was a little bouncy (unlike the foam based stuff alot of other places have). Thanks Professor Latta and Professor Padilla for a great experience. Next time I am in the area, I will definitely make it a point to attend classes here again!

Their technique is refined and every class you practice what you know and learn something new. Sensei Julio is incredible. He establishes a safe environment for students to learn in a way that is technical, rule-based, and effective, but always fun. Even after a class where someone is corrected and doing push-ups or after a class where you just can't get the move down, every person leaves with a smile and a desire to come back and get back on the mat. Even more impressive is the feeling of family. Sensei Julio sponsors and provides all the eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt. His depth of caring for his students and the community is apparent, and he does all he can to make Semper Fi a positive community partner. With every class I witness, I see these children becoming a force unto themselves. Each class they walk a little straighter, and approach each new skill with more confidence and fire. They take that belief and confidence into other parts of their lives. If you are looking to enroll your child(ren), want to do kickboxing, yoga, or MMA yourself, I would highly recommend you take a look at Semper Fi.
