Another thing that really stood out to me was how careful they were with our grass and fence. They clearly needed to get to the yard (having to drive equipment across the lawn) and lifted materials over the fence with heavy machinery - and they were just so careful to not damage anything - and were careful to clean up everything when they were finished. The photos below are the end of their work - they would normally backfill the edges and re-seed it, but I asked them to leave it so we could trim it out in river rock (something we just like to do ourselves).

I've been a customer of Wood Lawn Care for approximately two years. In addition to weekly mowing,…read moreI've used them for seasonal cleanups (I have quite a few mature trees on my lot), as well as lawn repair and treatment work. When I purchased my home in 2019, the lawn was in very poor condition. The previous owners had several large dogs that caused pretty severe damage to the turf, causing ground ivy and other weeds to completely take over. Wood recommended aeration and overseeded the lawn, plus installed new sod in several areas where the previous owners' raised beds had once been. They set up a seasonal fertilization schedule to help encourage healthy turf, but didn't go crazy with weed killers. I have been very happy with the improvement in my lawn, although it took about a year to see drastic improvement. Wood is definitely less "chemical happy" than some of the other local companies, which I appreciate, and they were clear that the process would take some time. I've found them to be very professional, and they have done an excellent job on every project. When I have requested additional services, they came out quickly, and they have always been great with offering suggestions or answering questions. They can be a little pricey on some landscaping services, but overall I have found their prices fair, particularly for weekly mowing service.

I'm knocking off two stars though because I had trouble communicating with them. Everybody on the staff speaks English as a second language. I had to communicate several things more than once because they either forgot or didn't fully understand what I said. One of the staff members who is either an owner or team leader was borderline rude at times when I communicated with her....and she did not communicate well. At one point, she got defensive when I brought up that she misunderstood what I said as if I was attacking her ability to speak English.
