Yes the prices are cheap but so are the products.really wouldn't go there again. The wallpapers that they sell are very thin see through types and that is if you are lucky enough to find enough rolls of the one typenot to mention the pattern numbers. The tend to sell the cheaper brand of paint or paint that you have never heard of. Like most things you get what you pay for. The building is a wharehouse building with just box after box of wallcoverings.little choice really but if you are on a budget then this could help you out.

Very unhelpful and unpleasant experience today. At the cash register, once it is my turn after…read morequeueing, the sullen young woman "greets" me with "You OK?" (Everyone else too). Then starts ringing up my items - 4 large bath towels and 6 wash cloths - I hand her a big carrier bag to put them in. I wanted to see the prices to make sure that they were discounted properly. What am I thinking? - that I am a customer maybe?? But only the sullen woman can see the prices and so I must insist that she turns her screen around so that I can check. I pay, then I hear "You OK?" To the next in line and leaves me to wrestle with cramming the towels in the bag whilst putting my credit card and wallet away. Customer service? A big fat ZERO

Very clean, spacious and helpful staff - but as is standard these days - you have to seek the staff out. Two thumbs up

Much like Amelie up the road, this is the place for a nice cushion or a wedding present. Their window display is lovely and a lot of the stock looks homemade. The lady who runs it is very nice (even looking out for my bus for me whilst I rifled through their selection of greetings cards). The toys in particular seem good so definitely somewhere to visit before Christmas.

The range of stock is good (from what my limited experience of such matters tells me) and the prices are fairly reasonable - you're looking at around the £10-£15 mark for a card and (small) gift. The staff are friendly and will help you find something.

It's great if you're looking to purchase items like tables, TV stands etc. Don't get me wrong there are a few pieces which do cost more but it's still reasonably priced. Me and my boyfriend were looking for a place to buy a TV stand for our flat and he suggested we visit the Soho Road area because they have shops where you can buy things for much lower prices than other parts of the city. When we were driving down the road, we came across Alexandra Furnishings and it looked like they had a large selection of items, so we decided to stop and take a look. It was a good job we did stop, as we managed to purchase a TV stand for £50 which was really nice- now our TV has a happy home

I have to admit when walking into this shop for the first time, it did look like a tip and the appearance in one half of the shop was not great. Especially as this is a carpet shop, you would expect the cleanliness and appearance to be first-class. I didn't get that impression when walking into the shop. But the other half of the store that had all the carpets was in much better condition. There were a number of different carpets in terms of designs and colours. I have to say the carpets on sale here are for sure affordable and not too expensive. The staff are OK but I still think Britannia Carpets could do with being refurbished.
