It is a great range of furniture, including a large variety of sofas, tables and beds. All of which are of a good quality, but on the expensive side. Sales at Toons offer a small discount, but this is usually swallowed up by the delivery costs! The carpet section is also expansive, with an impressive choice. In addition to this there is also a small curtain and bedding section. Whilst most staff in the shop are genuinely helpful, some have a distinctly superior air about them, which is unwelcome. What's that phrase 'Don't judge a book by it's cover' Toons has good little coffee shop, standard fare: coffees and teas, scones, toasties, cheese on toast etc. But all very tasty and well presented, good to relax in when you've just spent a small fortune in the shop!

The atmosphere is really relaxed and peaceful. It is full of Buddhas and Incense sticks and scented candles and novelty candles. They have little sets of candles that spell out I LOVE YOU and HAPPY BIRTHDAY as well as for the festive season candles that spelt out HAPPY NEW YEAR and MERRY CHRISTMAS. They also have a large selection of hand made jewellery as well as ethical begs and accessories. I bought Christmas presents for my best friend there - A glas wall plaque saying PEACE and a gorgeous incense stick holder in the shape of the Buddha. Another great accolade to this store is the friendliness of the staff. They are helpful but not intrusive. They say Hi to you as you enter but in a pleasant polite and friendly way as opposed to being in your face. As the asistant carefully wraped my gifts, we chatted about the holidays and the weather and as I left she wished me farewell and welcomed me back again. I can't wait to visit again - even if it is just to browse.

From start to finish the whole experience was excellent. The designer, Nina, really took the time to understand what I wanted and came up with ideas that perfectly suited our home and lifestyle. Nothing felt rushed and I always felt confident that I was in good hands. Installation was carried out professionally and with great attention to detail, and the communication throughout the project was first class. The finished kitchen looks amazing and the Venjakob furniture complements it beautifully. I am absolutely delighted with the result and would highly recommend Hunters in Derby to anyone looking for high-quality kitchens and furniture with outstanding personal service.

Stressless recommend considering various points before choosing which chair but we were made aware of none. After 2 weeks, the chairs were too uncomfortable for us to use & one developed a creak. Someone from Hunters visited about the creak but regarding our other concerns, he just told us twice that we had "bought the wrong chairs!" He also gave us the wrong information again about their locking function & the unidentifiable marks on the leather. Seven weeks later, an independent technician confirmed that we were correct in ALL our concerns & Hunters took the chairs back. The owner Matthew dismissed all our concerns throughout, apart from the creak, so unnecessarily caused us weeks of extreme stress & discomfort. Hunters gave us the worst customer care ever & have never even had the decency/manners to apologise.

The repair quote was ridiculously high, and diagnosis vague. I checked the price of the part needed and my suspicions were confirmed that this was overpricing. The shop told me my machine was worth only half of it's true worth and to consider trading it in for one of theirs. I refused their offer. When my machine arrived home, I took it out of it's box to find the foot controller missing. Shop denied having had a foot controller, which is nonsense as I was with my adult son when I put the machine in for repair and, of course, the items were listed in the inventory. I won't be using them again, but I will be going to trading standards.
