Les Schwab Tire Center - Final invoice with the surprise Rotor that they all of a sudden discovered was not gonna work

    Les Schwab Tire Center

The lady at the…read moredesk helped me and I asked her if they would charge me to mount and balance a tire on it, she replied no. I thanked her and told her I would be back the following Friday and drop the tire off to get mounted. So I go in Friday September 26th, 2025 and sure enough the wheel is in, and now the same lady is telling me because it's a new tire not purchased from Les Schwab and not a used tire there will be charge for mounting and balance. (Please tell me how this makes sense? If I would have had an old used tire the mounting and balance are free, but because it was a new tire there is a charge.) I left the tire there and came back several hours later. The same lady waited on me when I picked the tire up. She must of been upset with me because she never acknowledged me or anything. Just printed out the bill and told me the $ amount. I asked if I was charged for balancing because there was no wheel weights on the wheel and tire. She asked a service person about the balancing, the service person went outside and balanced the tire. Again I asked about the change for mounting and balancing, she told me she would get me someone in charge. I waited for 2 minutes the manager had not came in yet so I just took my wheel and left. I was already disappointed with the service by this time. I go to Les Schwab for service and man the service has gone downhill in Susanville, time to find a new tire shop I guess.

What happened to Susanville Ford Service? My son was driving up here from the Bay Area and broke…read moredown outside of Red Bluff. We insisted that he have it towed to Susanville Ford. Our experience with the service department had been excellent in the past. Good communication from staff, superb value and, in our opinion, far exceeded any service we'd received in the Bay area. My son's car was towed to Susanville Ford on June 28. He was told he could expect to hear from the technician the next day. When he did not hear from them by late afternoon, he called and was told that the technician wasn't at his desk and that he'd call back. No call. The next morning it was the same deal: the technician wasn't at his deck and nobody else knew what was going on with the car. Finally, he got a call on the 30th. Parts were needed and there was some recall work that they could do. But it was the start of the four day weekend and no work could start until Tuesday. That was fine as my son had planned to stay through the weekend anyway. After the weekend, it was like pulling teeth to get any information from the service department. First, there was no technician available AT ALL. Then it was phone tag for three days. Then the weekend again and still no information on when the car would be ready or even WHAT repairs had been done. Ridiculous. Finally the car was ready on the 13. Nearly two weeks. We dropped my son off to get the car. It needed a replacement hose on the coolant system. None of the recall work had been done. The check engine lights were still on. There were cobwebs over the inside of the car...as if it had sat undisturbed for days. Rude treatment at the service desk. Total bill: 600 bucks! Not sure what's going on there but we're done with Susanville Ford. I bought two cars there in the past, too.
