If you're a shoe fetishist like me, then you'll welcome nearly any new footwear store with open arms.
And it's exactly what I did when I saw that Kurt Geiger had set up shop in our fair city. I've been a fan since I've moved over here, and consistently found that both the Carvella and self-titled lines are beautiful, well-made, and comfortable (even the five-inchers!).
I do wish this store carried every shoe the website boasted, but I suppose the square-footage of the Hayes shop just couldn't accommodate it. The staff here, however, are absolutely lovely, always willing to grab you just one more pair, even if you're surrounded by six boxes or more.
I try not to walk in here, because, my lack of willpower being what it is, I can't seem to leave without buying yet another pair of heels to add to my burgeoning collection.
I agree with Sarah when she says the window display leaves a lot to be desired - but I'm okay with that, because it means all the beautiful shoes are left for the devotees who know there's better selection of treasure buried inside. read more
