Call to see if they accept your insurance (they also have care credit) and head on over; they may be able to squeeze an initial visit the same day. Everyone makes you feel at home. The assistant and the nurse are a riot. The surgeons are really professional and HONEST. They're encouraging and simply, very welcoming, helpful and great people, that just want to make this experience as feasible as possible for you and they do. My former consultations for removal of two badly impacted wisdom teeth was not favorable at all. Long story short, one surgeon simply turned me away and another presented an option that seemed more complicated than I liked. Dr.Richman was very honest with me and informed me that my case was a difficult one but he and the staff, guided and reassured me every step of the way. The assistant was great and put me at ease by telling me that Dr.Richman is very good at what he does and she entrusted her own loved ones in his hands. Everything, from the day of consult and surgery through recovery has been great. The staff followed up with me and gave me any take home materials I would need. Dr. Mufson's hands shook badly during the procedure and before I could stop him, he broke my tooth and I swallowed the broken pieces. He gave no apology and his assistant, Loretta, who is also his wife, hustled me to the desk to immediately pay. I was stunned. I tried disputing his charges on my credit catd but got nowhere. I found out afterwards from an aquaintance of mine that Dr. Richard Mufson left a piece of bone in her mouth causing her an emergency visit to Jackson Memorial Hospital. Do not use this oral surgeon under any circumstances. This money hungry dentist also took CT scans and x-rays that I just had done a few days before to grab more money from me with no dental insurance (I didn't need the additional dangerous radiation either). Don't believe those old 5 star reviews. This older man's hands shake terribly. He needs to immefiately retire.
