It was a bit confusing communicating to set up the appointment and some information like on which floor wasn't provided until we got there. But overall, hubby and I were happy with our deep-tissue massages. We had Groupons for 2 individual massages but Ada was able to put us in a couples room since it was open that day. Ada tuned in to my sore muscles and provided some good relief. Hubby also had a good session with his massage therapist. Had to pay for parking, since it's downtown. Maybe make it a night out with a massage and dinner out.

This is one of the besssst massages I ever had! Like seriously!!! And I've been to so many others, no one can compare to KUR massage! -she specializes in hot stone!! And omg let me tell you! It's one of the best massages ever!!! -I had my birthday spa party here and literally been going back ever since! This is seriously one of the best! If you want or is looking for a great massage come here! Every friend I brought here are all now loyal customers This is a true hidden gem of Los Angeles - bet birthday spa ever! I almost forgot how sweet Ada is she showered my birthday with champagne( mimosas) cheese and crackers and strawberries, even when she didn't have too Best service as well!!! -they also offer pedi and mani if wanted and needed

[preface]: I will convince you this is the massage spa for you. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. This is going to be a very lengthy and in depth review of Kur Mobile Spa. As you can probably tell from my heading, *Spoiler Alert* I LOVE THIS PLACE! My Background: I have a number of sports and car accident related injuries(neck, shoulder, lower back, leg, ankle). I had recently had back surgeries (over the course of one year) and a knee surgery (5 months ago). Over the past 2 years I've gone to countless massage parlors and spas in an attempt to reduce the pain and find some peace! One outcome of having so many massages is that I can tell exactly when someone is doing something wrong or right with my body. I will immediately walk away from a massage if I notice someone is physically hurting me making me feel uncomfortable (i know you know *exactly* what I mean). I suffer from chronic lower back pain as well as extreme sciatica pain running down both legs. However, I tend to lead a pretty active lifestyle in which I go hiking, workout, and travel whenever I get the chance. Meeting Kur Spa and Ada: On the morning of the day I had planned out a hike with my friends(2 am), I started feeling EXTREME amounts of pain running through both my legs and weighing down on my lower back. I got on my inversion table and hoped I could stretch enough to make the pain go away. I got desperate and started looking on yelp for places open on a SUNDAY at 3 am. This is when I read testimonials from clients at Kur Spa. I got on the phone at 3:30 am and left Ada a desperate voicemail explaining my situation. I couldn't sleep through the night due to the pain, and got a text from Ada at 8 am sharp on a SUNDAY telling me she'll work around her schedule and make space for me. She was an angel sent from the back pain gods to me already! At 11 am she greeted me at the door of guarded building in front of Pershing Square and listened to all my problems. I promise you this godsend has HEALING POWERS. I walked out of the massage so soothed by her massage and her wisdom. She uses a blend of massages (hot stone, shiatsu, deep tissue, Thai) to make sure your pain is gone! And went home and slept like a baby after so many hours. I got a discount for checking in on yelp and she also agreed to apply the discount again if I came by again. I made yet another appointment to see her the next Sunday. After my third appointment she told me about the memberships she has for continuing clients. Membership: Silver: A great deal if you want a discount but don't see yourself coming routinely. Gold: Great discount than silver! Diamond: Most amount of discount!! You visit the spa 4 times a month (i go every Sunday, PLEASE don't steal my 11 am appointments with Ada, deal? :D ). If you are busy your credit is transferred to the next month OR you can send a friend or family member in place for you. Recently I missed a weekend appointment because I've been so busy with school. The next weekend I was able to not only get my massage but also take my sister in for a massage as a treat :) She simply fell in love with her massage therapist, Amalia. On the entire drive back home she raved about how great of a therapist Amalia is. So the next week I took my mom in for a massage as well! And she too left the spa raving about Amalia's magical touch! I recommend you try Amalia or Ada for your first time. ADA: I've gotten to know Ada very well over the past few months because of our weekly massages. She's so attentive and has such a kind heart. As I mentioned earlier, I have very very bad sciatica pain...she GIFTED me a pressure point belt that I can wrap around my back or legs or neck. It helps so much with relieving my pain and loosening my very very tight muscles. Look, she didn't have to go out of her way to give me the belt. YET, she did. Ada truly cares! She sends me and my family home with amazing samples of essential oils that TRULY work-- Yes, I was skeptical at first...but now I'm sold on essential oils! The View: OH MY GOD, the view from the balcony and window is one of a kind! People are literally one building over paying tons of money to sit in swanky overpriced restaurants *trying* to get the view Ada has on he 11th floor. I've taken such awesome Instagram and Facebook pictures from her balcony. Make sure you see it! All in all, if this won't convince you that Kur Spa is the place for you then I don't know what can! I am looking forward to gifting all my friends massages at this spa for the holidays and their birthdays. A quick google search showed me the Kur has a lot of deals available!

Ada was amazing! She really customized the massage to meet my needs. The groupon deal was worth it. Thanks to Yelp I was warned about the parking issues and was prepared. I parked in the Pershing Square parking lot across the street for $7.00. That way I also had time to explore DTLA area as well after my massage. I will be going back.

Although they don't say anything to you, at the end of the massage, the masseuse is waiting there with your water/tea. If for some reason you didn't want to tip, I could see it being a very awkward exit. Or if you simply can't afford the tip amounts they're recommending, it could be an awkward exit. The bed was clean and if you're a little chilly ask them to turn on the warmer. I was excited to learn this was an option. Overall great spot. I plan to go on the regular.

I was literally told I was 'glowing' after going here. I went in feeling tired and tight and left feeling relaxed and soft. I went on a Tuesday afternoon so it wasn't very busy. I took my time showering and using the steam room and mugwort tea and salt bath before my treatment. I had Kathy, she had very strong hands which is what I needed! But she checked in on me frequently to make sure it wasn't too much. I didn't have time for the salt sauna or infrared sauna but both were clean and well maintained. Full disclosure: if you're not comfortable with nudity. Or you want a more chill/ clothed massage this is not the place for you. If you're serious about body and skin care and you respect the spa etiquette, this place is a dream! Tip is not included in the price but Kathy more than earned her tip. The woman doing my treatment (unfortunately didn't catch her name) was amazing and the overall experience was incredible. Before my scrub, I spent about 30 minutes in the steam sauna, which I'd definitely recommend because it helps prep your skin and gives you the best results from the scrub. The body scrub itself was definitely an experience. If it's your first time, don't go in expecting it to be super relaxing because it's pretty intense and certain parts can feel rougher than others. But the results are absolutely worth it. My skin has honestly never felt so smooth and soft. All of the dry, dead skin was completely gone afterward and my skin felt unbelievably clean, hydrated, and refreshed. The spa itself is a little smaller than some of the other Korean spas I've been to, but it was still very clean, nice, and had all the essentials like the sauna, Himalayan salt room, and other relaxation rooms. Spa entry is included with your treatment purchase, and you could honestly spend the whole day there if you wanted to. There's also a traditional Korean kitchen inside that had really good food. Overall such a fun experience and definitely worth trying at least once.

This is great if you want it quiet. Not a place you come with a bunch of friends that want to socialize. $3 validated parking for the Central Plaza parking garage right across from it. Came when they had 50% off admission which was $25 but seemed overpriced if you are a guy. Pros: -Unlimited Reishi mushroom tea. They also have water and coffee everywhere. -Large sized towel, robe, slippers in the locker. -3 jacuzzis (Himalayan salt, alkaline, citrus) , wet sauna (love that it's like a fog/mist and not shower sprayers!), dry sauna, and 3 specialized rooms (Infrared, salt, and mud room w small heated balls which was my favorite). All was great, but wish there was a cold pool in the women's area too. Cons/Room for improvement: -Though they now have a clothed, co-ed section, it is underwhelming. -The jacuzzi was warm, not hot. -There was a waterfall pool but was very shallow and also just warm. -Cold Plunge is a 5 ft. deep pool that had a rickety ladder to get in/out of. It would've been nice if it had a seat. -The wet and dry saunas were off and took a while to turn on, but never got hot. My guy friend gave feedback on the men's locker room: -no restroom inside -no sinks inside - no sit down showers which the women's side has If I were a guy, I wouldn't come just for the spa as it just feels like a side amenity. The space itself was cramped and no frills and some of the pressure is on fellow GUESTS to keep their voices down (please keep this in mind!) but it has everything. The space felt clean and cozy.
