Everything here can be improved. It's just about the poorest maintained gas/convenience store I've ever been too...and I drive for a living, I visit a lot of gas/convenience stores. This is one of the worst I've ever been too. read more

: Public bathrooms are usually a fact of life on road trips, unless you're a diaper-wearing astronaut traveling from Houston to Florida. I'm not, so I had to visit this one. This one was gross. There was toilet paper strewn about the floor, and a note in the stall exhorting people to not flush it for "sanitary" reasons. There was a trash can provided for that purpose (gross!), but clearly there are many illiterates going up and down the highway. Even worse, there was a dead cockroach lying on the floor next to the toilet. I try not to look too closely at the floors in these places, but I had my little observant granddaughter with me who pointed out the offender. Kids! I almost wanted to be decontaminated after using that one! The only thing I'd stop here for is a box of Depends. read more

Keep on truckin'! Keep truckin' right past this place. It's a horribly disgusting convenience store. The place is filthy. Sticky floors, awful bathrooms that don't work right. How can a place that serves food not have any soap in the washrooms? Ick. I got a few items, and thought that the clerk had rang up the total wrong. I thought I had gotten charged for multiple items I hadn't bought because the total was so high! Nope- that's just their high prices for ya. The gas pumps are incredibly tight. It's hard to get in there, and it blocks up traffic. This is a terribly conceived convenience store. It seems that the Kuntry Korner is a whole little racket with a greasy spoon truck stop diner and a hotel. Classy. I heard that this place used to be called "Kathy's Kuntry Korner" back in the day. KKK, classy. Why go so far out of your way to misspell the word, "country?" It seems that Valero gave the exterior of this gas station a face lift in recent history, with new pumps and signage, but the interior is still magnificently dirty and out of date. I was amused to see that they're prominently advertising their fax services at the gas station. What's a fax?! The worst part of this convenience store is that it's so dang difficult to get back on the freeway. Southbound traffic has to go way out of the way to get back on the freeway. Don't make the same mistake I made when stopping here, just keep going down the road to some of the more cleaner, friendlier-priced convenience stores. read more

Velero. Gas Station. HORRIBLE!!!! Do not stop here. I tried to warn my partner, but we stopped here for a restroom break anyway. I thought maybe it had changed over the year ( I hadn't been there in like 8 years), but no it got worse. Dirty, sketchy, I mean missing toilet seats in the ladies restroom. My partner said the mens was not any better. If you need a restroom wait there are others in either direction that are much better. Velero should be embarrassed by this disgusting mess of a restroom being linked to their good name. read more

Walked in to use the restroom and my kids clothes got soaked because the restrooms are filthy wet and dirty. No soap and only hot water. When telling the lady (there were two employees) that their restroom needed attention, she said the cleaning lady will be here within the hour. I'm sorry, isn't cleaning the place you work for everyone's job? read more

Too few pumps. Pumps too close together. If your in truck or pulling a trailer your in trouble. Poor access to northbound 35. Drive a few more mile to the larger stations. read more
